The only thing about this that's ashame is that Layne isn't still alive for this to get on his radar and listen to it. :( This is the best cover I've ever heard of this song BY FAR.

Not sure why anyone would be saying she sounds too produced. That's as raw as it gets. She sounds killer. Maybe people don't like singers who can sing properly without destroying themselves.

Of course, Layne is the father of this sound, but this chick killed it.

The pitch, tone, and articulation is very good. Those vocal slurs and trills (I think that's what they're called) add a noticable attitude.

You can tell she has a Slavic accent. That's incredibly difficult to mask and she's very close to doing so.

I've watched this several times now. To see her belt this song out, and to see her having so much fun doing it. I watch it for the soul charge and emotional uplift I get. Go Gabriela!

I don't really get those people who complain about the cover. I get it, Layne Staley is one and only (I am actually a big fan of AiC), but anything other vocalists do singing his song - they will be criticised by some fanatics, or I dunno how to call this group of ppl. For that they wanted to sing it their own way or the way Layne does, doesn't matter. Ppl, are you deaf? O.o She sang it with fire in her voice, her own way, but it still fits the grunge spirit, so please, stfu and appreciate her talent, SKILLS and the energy she got. She did a great job, stop being so nasty and if you don't like when people do covers of AiC, just listen to the original band's tracks. Thank you.

There were parts I really appreciated. She nailed the tune between 3:04-3:11 and that's the most pivotal moment of the song, the part that gives me goosebumps. So kudos for that. There were parts I couldn't quite get into as much admittedly. Nothing beats the OG. She's a great vocalist though, phenomenal range. I'd love to see her do Would. That's my favourite song :) And I like hearing female voices for grunge because you don't hear it often, and they bring a different energy to the music.

Definitely not an easy song to cover! Layne had such an amazing and distinctive voice, but she did an outstanding job on this one!!! She is woman, and hear her roar! KUDOS!!! 🤘
