Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 - Sleepover

Sims 2
In the Sims 2, there isn't an option for children to invite other child Sims for a sleepover. But teenagers definitely can have sleepovers. This is not a separate event that you can actually plan before hand. If you invite a friend over, after 6pm there will be an option to ask the guest if they want to have a sleepover. If they agree, they'll spend the night. You can do all sorts of activities that aren't specially tied with a sleepover. You can play video games, watch movies together, order some pizza. You can do the classic pillow fight. Even though they rarely sleep, Make sure there is an extra bed available for your guest.

Sims 3
The Sims 3: Generations added a new type of party that kids and teenagers can throw - a Slumber Party. The option for "Slumber Party" only has one dress code: Pajamas! When a kid is throwing the Slumber Party, only children of their age can attend it. Teens can only invite other teens. When the guests start arriving, they'll change into their pajamas before entering the house.
The guests can do practically everything: they can have fun by playing video games, they can take part in pillow fighting. If you have the costume chest, they can play pretend. To make the night even more special, Sims can also tell ghost stories, other Sims will gather around. To make sure everyone is fed, You can order pizza.
Around midnight a message will pop-up saying that it is bedtime and all of the kids will find a spot on the ground, pull out their sleeping bags and go to sleep.

Sims 4
With The Sims 4: Growing Together, now Sims can have Sleepovers. But Slumber Parties can't be thrown by a child. Have a Sim that is a teenager or older to plan a social event. You can set a child to be the host.
When it's time, the guests will start arriving. Some happier than others.
Just like the previous Sims games, you can do all sorts of activities In The Sims 4. Sims can play video games together. During a sleepover, you can get Slumber Party Snacks. This will automatically add a pizza to the Sim's inventory. You can then serve the pizza and enjoy it with your friends.
You can ask your guests to set up their sleeping bags. This will add few more fun interactions. On these sleeping bags, Sims can pillow fight, they can sit and chat there and also tell stories. When a Sim falls asleep in the sleeping bag, other Sims can pull a prank on them. Sims can pop a balloon, prank them by pouring water on their face and pour baby powder all over them. When it's time to sleep, you can and choose the Time for Bed option. Everyone will go to sleep in their sleeping bag.

I will forever be angry that TS4 added pillow fights in the High School Years expansion pack and only restricted it to teen- elder, then had the NERVE to sell the ability for kids to do it in the Growing Together expansion pack. It should have been coded for all ages since it was introduced. I’m just mad in general they restrict things to certain packs and then sell them again as new content.

Sims 1: The game that started it all, we wouldn't get the other sims games without this.

Sims 2: The most detailed one, while Sims 3 had way more content, Sims 2 had so many details that made it feel so lively.

Sims 3: The biggest and most content rich one, there was so many things to do that you could play Sims 3 for years and you could still find new things.

Sims 4: The most expensive and barebones one, even Sims 1 had more details, plus one Sims 3 expansion is equivalent to 5 Sims 4 Expansions.

The Sims 4 sleepover is so... lackluster 🤡 Like, why are these kids smiling and laughing at a scary story. Even the snacks only being a pizza is weird, like, what about some chips, juice or a bowl of candy? 😭 Sims 3 definitely did it best
