Serving Dinner - Sims 1 vs Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4

In The Sims 1, when serving a group meal, The Sim will only take a plate for themselves
In the Sims 2, The Sim will serve plates for everyone, including guests. they'll also serve plate for a toddler that's on a chair.
In The Sims 3, after preparing a meal, you can call everyone to dinner. Every Sim will individually take a plate
In the Sims 4, you also need to call everyone to meal, and like in The Sims 3, they'll all individually take a plate.

For sims 4 if they grab the food before you hit Call to Meal. They grab the food again. There are so many freaking dishes in this game.

I like how in TS2, when ordering a sim to "call for meal", he/she actually shouts something before other sims going to grab a plate

I've been playing sims since it's inception and I just found out sims will serve a toddler in the high chair in Sims 2 😢 I have a mod to serve the table in Sims 3, it feels much nicer.

I just LOVED in Sims 1, when a male adult sim came to fetch a serving of the meal and was too late (nothing left) how he was mumbling curses through gritted teeth and being dramatic. Memories...

Sims 2 just does everything right!! This is why my standard was and is always high for Sim games. We got a blessing with the Sims 2!

I like in sims 4 that "call to meal" makes the sim ring a bell and call for the others. I know they do it for grand meals, idr if they do normal meals tho lol
