Here is a short Sims comparison of Freezing in the cold in all of the Sims games. While The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 are similar, Freezing in The Sims 4 i fatal.

Once my sim froze to death outside the gym and sims from inside and outside the gym gathered around her to mourn my sim and it created a chain of sims dying from freezing lmaoo.

Ngl I think the freezing animation in Sims 4 is great. Just a shame they seemingly can't be revived by one of these good Sim Samaritans walking around with cordless hairdryers on snowy days

In TS2/3, at least there's a chance to save them. In TS4, it's just INSTANT DEATH.

Here's a Tip - In Sims 4 if a Sim you're not playing is turning blue and going to freeze, have your Sim ask them to Show Outfit and Cold Weather Outfit. They will change their clothes and you will save them from freezing. This also works if they are overheating, just ask them to show you their hot weather outfit.

On Sims 4, if you have a high romantic relationship, you can warm another Sim up with your body heat under Physical Intimacy.

I did a beautiful winter wedding in the beautiful place, but. That place was fool of little pools. Guess why all guests died?

I invited all my friends and relatives of my sim in sims 4 to a birthday party in winter time. One sim just died like that while walking towards my house, of course a lot of them started running out of the house and crying over his body outside and then… they started to freeze and die!!! Like i lost 5 sims in a row like that, I was in shock i didn’t know how to stop it. In the end I just stopped the event and say them to go home. A lot of relatives of my sim died that night. It was AWFUL!!! Then in the settings I turned off deaths possibilities because of weather conditions. Now my sims couldn’t die or freeze
