Having the locking drawers is meaningful to a rolling tool cart. When you roll it around you don’t want the drawers opening.

I like the little plastic drawer locks. I've just conditioned myself to use them.

Couple tips I've learned from others
Mod 1: Use a floor jack to lift the cart without needing to take anything out and set on a stand while changing casters
Mod 2: add magnets to the back of the drawers - I've seen people take the sections of magnets out of the HF tool holder and attach 2 small magnets to the back of each drawer (any magnets should work). Now you dont need to unlatch the drawers and the magnet holds the drawer against the back firmly and still opens with ease once you pull it

Your mods were very helpful. I've been searching online for the best tool cart and this one was the best rated. HF is offering a great Black Friday deal on this one and the coupons will make the price even less. I'm going to purchase it today with the additional purchase of the side tray. Thanks for your video!!!!

You can glue two small round magnets to the legs where the shelf support hits when it's let down and glue two more under the shelf to keep it from banging against the support.

Use plati-dip spray coating or auto undercoating on the chrome drawer covers. Then they won't crack, chip, or scratch with usage.

Nice job. You just earned yourself a new sub with this video. Liked your others as well. Keep it up.

I've done put magnetic strips on the inside of my lid to hold small tools like picks and impact bits, rubber bump stops on all four corners to prevent damaging the frame or scratching the box. I also put rubber grommets inside the holes on the top part of the box to hold all my socket extensions, the only one I didn't put a grommet on is where I put my breaker bar in since the handle and the shaft is too big for a grommet, only way to put a bigger one on is to get a step bit and extend out the hole.

Put magnets on the back of each drawer to keep it from opening when moving around.

I did the wheel upgrade but instead of emptying my tool box o just. Used a 2x4 on my jack. Did one side at a time

you can pick up a HF magnetic bar tool holder. remove the plastic film covering and pop the magnets out of it. they are super strong and you can place a double stack behind each drawer. they help to close and keep drawers closed while moving your cart.

Upgrade your the Dowel/nut solution on the drawer latches with a wee dab of hot melt glue, or even Fun Tak, aka poster adhesive. That will keep it in there, yet it can still be easily removed.

I personally like the chrome handles better.

Nice video. Your thumbnail for this video seemed generic, and I watched several similar video before this one.

The wooden dowel mod was smart, and you are right- a mention about the top closing and still locking could be worth mentioning.

The Stuggleville guy has a video about the magnet resistance, to help with the dowel mod. Keep it up!
