Appreciate the teaching effort. You need to learn the difference between bitmaps and vectors as you are going to really confuse people, especially beginners. There is an important difference and an svg file is in fact vectors, not a bit map. Even the import tool says "vectors", There is a different tool for "bitmaps".

I learned a tremendous amount from your video thank you very much as for some of your numbers for heights I would try maybe .05 for a smaller adjustment

This is great. thank you. Can I ask- what is the recommended wood for this and approximately how long will it take on a CNC for a 5" X 5"

Thanks for the video, but I believe that you can input more than one decimal when setting the thickness. So you could have input 0.01, or 0.05 or whatever.

Great video, this is what I needed to see. I guess when you added the 20" of thickness didn't help the time to update the preview. Oops. Lol.

Nice, how do you add a bowl to it like the clipart ones included in Vectric?

7:52 you're having trouble because at the beginning you set the thickness of the material to 20" not 2"

FYI Inkscape Trace Bitmap "TRACES" an imported bitmap; the copy is a vector file that is saved in various file formats typically svg.

for some reason, I don't have the same options as you, I don't have the modeling option, my dialogue box looks nothing like yours.Im using 9.519

if I may, at the beginning you're actually transforming a bitmap into a vector file (SVG).

My modeling tab doesn’t show all of those functions. I cannot find the “create a shape from vector outlines” button.
