Hi Heidi. Maybe you have done this before. After straining the infusion, I place about a cup of the used oil/herb mixture into a sock (I use nylons), knot it closed and place in my bath water plus I add a few drops of essential oils. So good to soak in. OF COURSE, you must be careful not to slip when getting out. I freeze the left over used oil/herb mixture in portions to use later. Baking soda and vinegar mixture will clean your oily tub. :0)

I have discovered that a hand ricer is wonderful for squeezing all of the precious oil out of my oil infusions. I purchased it at a thrift store for this very purpose and didn't even know what its true purpose was at the time LOL.

I made infused oil with jewel weed, plantain and some other wild medicinals. The jewel weed flowers are so gorgeous! I absolutely love them!
Great video! I need to get back into making my balms and salves. I haven’t made any since last season because of the move.
