Jess having 9 journals at once making me feel better about my 4 journal situation 😂

That's why my bujo is a loose-leaf binder. I put everything I'm going to use for the year in one place, and I can make it have as many pages as I need it to have. Then at the end of the year each collection and section goes into a different binder, so I have all my books read in one place, as well as movies watched, health trackers, etc. There's a lot less wasted space, and if I make a big layout mistake I can always replace the paper sheet completely (if I'm bothered by the mistake, of course, some I can correct and some are too small to care).

And yeah, it's more difficult to make cute double-page spreads, but for me it's an acceptable trade-off.

I use two journals per year, one for work and one personal (as long as it has at least 192 pages). I usually use a Michael’s journal for work. I started bullet journaling in LT1917 and this year I am using a Maisie Lane Co. planner. I haven’t decided on next year’s yet. I may dive into one of my A&O planners. Oh, I also have a third that I use for course notes and unit tracking to climb up the pay scale (teacher life).

After 5 years of LT 1917 as my everyday Bujo, I'm going to change over to the blue starburst A&O in January 2023. I will also use the 2023 Hobonichi Weeks to track everything related to exercise & weight loss, and continue to use my coffee cup A&O journal for writing/doodling.

Great video! I'll be using a daily bujo (which is more self-care oriented), a work planner, a reading journal, a long term planner, and a writing journal. I really like separating out my things to do from my self-care. Because of this I use a planner with pre-written dates and calendars in it for work and put all the fun and creativity into the bujo.

The new edition to my journals next year is what I've been calling my Entertainment Journal. Basically a combined reading and media journal where I'll put thoughts on tv shows, movies, books and games. I've never done something quite like this before but I actually started it at the beginning of November and have really enjoyed it so far.

I'm left with so many questions on the 5year one 🤔

I think I’m gonna need to see every spread from the long term notebook and the yearly one as well… especially the apocalist! Lol

OMG! I have one bullet journal that contains absolutely everything in my life; productivity, collections, including my very extensive reading collection, trackers, goals.. everything goes into my bujo (one notebook that I use for the entire year). Just thinking about using more than one planner, I start feeling very overwhelmed. You have a super power my friend. I truly believe that ✌

I cannot wait for the five-year journal setup video! I love 5-year journals and have always wanted to gift them to people but the nicer quality ones are out of my budget for how many I would have to buy. I never thought about making one. I have enough blank journals in my collection right now that I can make a bunch for free right now! Thank you for such a great idea!

So I’m feeling better about the 5 journals I keep! Lol I use an everyday, an LT line a day for 5 years but I’m super curious to see how you set yours up, an every day Bible Study scripture writing journal, a Draw Your Day journal based on the idea by Samantha Dion Baker, and a small Hoboniche weeks I carry in my purse mainly to track meals, meal planning, etc. I love the snowflake journal you’re going to use, it’s beautiful! ❄️

This channel always has quality content, even with posting so frequently! That is great. I do hope the frequency of posting doesn’t get “punished” by Youtube’s algorithm. I’ve heard other high quality YouTubers say their views/monetization decreased depending on the frequency of posting. YouTube needs to reward great creators like Jess who give regular great content!

The long term collections journal needs to be renamed the Eternal Journal. 😄

I have 1 everyday journal, one that is going into it's third year of use for finances, health and mental health tracking, and starting this year I'm creating a quilting journal. I've been quilting for about 10 years and want a place to plan and document creation of future quilts.

I just started my bujo at the beginning of this year - and oh my goodness I love it so far. You inspire me so much! I don't think I'll ever get to that many journals, but I am thinking of making a 5 year journal.

Reading the comments, I’m glad to know, I’m not the only one with multiple journals!

Thank you so, so much for all of your videos. They're so helpful and reassuring, and you've inspired me to break away from trying to have One [Journal] to Rule Them All! In the new year I'm trying a very basic 2023 agenda with only monthly views (because I don't need daily or weekly views), a Notebook Therapy dot grid journal for collections (using up the remaining 3/4 of it, the poor thing), and a large notebook for brainstorming. I'm really excited!

I love the "in theory" add on you have there! I always end a year saying "next year I'm going to be so organized, use my planners every day, etc." And then in the middle of the year I realize that was a bit optomistic. Lol.

Are you going to change them so that you can use them for 2023 (the ones that you didn’t use much in 2022?

Thanks for the ideas. My plan is to move from planners to bullet journals in 2023.
