I bought a yerba mate kit and the bombilla had a round tip ans made with something like a spring.
It still filters the mate .

If you really need to clean out absolutely everything till its shining on the inside, dishwasher tabs in boiling water (i leave them sitting in a flask for an hour) works well. Rinse thoroughly when done.
