The S Pen stylus, without a doubt is the headlining feature for any Galaxy Note Device including the upcoming Note 20. There are tons of things you can do with the S pen but how many of these things are actually practical for everyday use? In reality, there’s only a handful of things I use the S pen for regularly. So, if you’re curious, let me walk through how I personally use it and break down the reality of life with the S Pen.. from my perspective.

As an emergency doctor, S-pen is really helpful in taking notes rapidly, saving them and dealing with them later, dealing with links and page-cuts from studies or scores...etc.. it's not useless at all! It's useless to whom has no use from it!

I had my note 4 for 7 years. It broke because of how old it was earlier this year and I'm waiting for the note 20 ultra to upgrade.

I'm a chemistry lecturer and I've used Note 2 and currently a Note 9 user. I use my Note 9 to teach students and the S-Pen makes that process so smooth. For example, I've ditched the conventional whiteboard for LiveBoard app and I use S-Pen to write on my Note 9 and my students can see that written on their phones.

Thank you. Finally someone who uses then pen the same way I do. Specifically, I wish more reviewers would point out the smart select/extract feature. Sometimes I worry it will go away because people don't realize it's a thing, so they don't use it.

There's nothing like having the S-PEN. A lot of stuff you can't copy with fingers. Again, Samsung's smart select feature is so underrated. Often times, you want to screenshot but bcoz there are limitations and it's not as perfect as smart select. There's this precision you get with the smart select but can't get with normal screenshots. Samsung don't get enough credit for these features. Yes, some users might not really 'need' the SPen so it boils down to what you do with your phone. For now, I'm not using any other phone apart from Samsung Notes until something better comes up.
