The story of my life - From a dream to reality

This video is about how I changed my life 8 years ago, when I left the citylife and moved 1000 km to the north and started a new life close to nature. Close to all the things my heart was longing for.

These 8 years have been so challenging and hard but also wonderful and magical in every single way. I have learnt so much from that day I came to the old house in this smal village in the forest with no money, no job and no plan on what I should do with my life.
But from that day I started living, for real. I started appreciating things that I had never even thought of when living in an apartment in the city. And I learnt that you can never feel the wonderful, comfort feeling of warmth if you have not yet been cold.

I started with nothing but a dream. And today, I live my dream. Everyday I feel so thankful for still being able to live here in my little paradise deep in the forests in the north of Sweden, and working with all the things I love, and sharing my life with someone I love.

In this video you get to see a short summary of these years. Of course, many details are not included since the video would be 2 years long if I would include all the things that happened along the way. But at least it tells my story in a big picture :)

As much as I admire and envy people like this, we need to remember that what we see are only fragments of these people’s lives.
Even Jonna has struggled, as she tells us in the beginning. Quitting school, living alone, worrying about money.

I have a twin who is abnormally well functioning, and as frustrating as it can be, I get nowhere comparing myself to her. I have ADHD, depression, anxiety - she does not. And even more fortunate people can’t do what she does. She just had a baby a couple months ago, and is working out. I sleep til noon and watch YouTube.
But I know this is just temporary. So I try to take things one step at a time. I’m still young. I still have a lifetime to reach my goals. One being to live in a small town/village like this, surrounded by nature.

We don’t need to rush. We don’t need to live the picture perfect life we often see on social media. We just need to do what makes us happy. Whether that is playing music, going on a walk, playing video games or watching tv. If you do what makes you happy, then you _will_ have lived life to the fullest.

The village you live in is very beautiful. I grew up in a village of about 40 people. The name of the village is Kasaan which means beautiful place in Tlingit. For me it was the best place to grow up. The closest store was 45 miles away , and the only way to get to store, was by either a boat, or sea plane.
