Mahindra Thar Roxx targets Creta and other mid-size SUVs | First Drive Review | @evoIndia

Mahindra has finally launched the 5-door version of the Thar, the Thar Roxx at a price of ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets both petrol and diesel powertrain options but is only available with 4x4 in the diesel variants. Regarding styling, the Thar Roxx gets new head and tail lights with LEDs, and a new 6-pack grille. At the interiors, it gets an all-white treatment, a new steering wheel, 10.25-inch screens for digital cluster and infotainment, a Harman Kardon sound system, and more. The Thar Roxx also gets Level 2 ADAS from the MX 3 variant and 6 airbags as standard. The biggest thing missing from the interior of the thar roxx is a bottle holder in the door panels. How the Mahindra designers managed to screw up this basic requirement is beyond me.

The ride quality of thar is just awesome it just glides through bad roads.
I have been in co driver seat in Thar every other cars looks so tiny when you are sitting inside. 😅

Mahindra has given a tight slap to TATA Motors and its woke mentality. Customer is king and if you don't listen to the customer, you'll suffer. TATA Motors have been lost with their woke mentality while designing SUVs. Now, they should hopefully learn!

One question Sirish. Can it replace the mid sized so called SUVs? Becoz i guess they are very practical for daily commuters than the thar considering mileage and comfort and ease of drive? I guess Thar is for who have more than one car since nobody wants to sit upright daily in a SUV. Whats your take? For me say the creta diesel ticks all the boxes expect safety that the Curvv ICE will provide.
