Dev tries to give players tools and systems to create authentic medieval settlements, players min/max their way to modernist monstrosities, oh gamers, don't ever change.

Thank for the streams and keeping them as videos. They are really helping me get an idea and plan to fix my towns in this game. The people I hang with on discord with all of us streaming the game through discord, keep telling me what they believe works regarding the marketplace system and how to keep the coverage up in an aggressive tone and won’t change their minds no matter how hard I try to convince them otherwise. After watching you fix your marketplace live with the whole process included in the video… thank you. I can finally learn from a reliable source on YouTube unlike the know-it-alls in that discord server.

Just an FYI, only use Large Plots for farms or orchards, large plots with Chickens and or Goats provide zero bonus due to size. Soon as you see the workbench emblem on the back that will work the exact same as a massive lot.

Thanks everyone who came out to watch, you can watch yesterday's stream for examples on how i fixed the market - i think there is a bug currently where delivered good's are not being counted to the market

Not sure, if it was mentioned in stream chat, but apparently how markets supply houses is teleport goods every month starting with closest house and the most afar get what is left. So if you have limit on 4th type of food, only closest houses would benefit from it, since they get supplied first. (could be changed in future)

my first playthrough i just wanted to make my town look realisitc and pretty, while also being somewhat logistical and functional. about 9 years in i was starting to farm and all of a sudden get hit by the duke dude saying he'll claim my land. i couldnt negotiate peace or anything i just had to take the fight and unsurprisingly got absolutely ran through. he had way more men than me as well as owning every region. i was pretty sad cuz i was just abou to pop off as a town after spending some skill points where i shouldnt have, and had been waiting for that moment to really take off. i think my problem was not building my millitary sooner and i never attacked any bandit camps. i guess i took too long, and the attack came way too fast. Now im on a new city and watching all your videos and pausing my game to catch up on everything. these have been very helpful and im getting even a stronger start. the only thing im still hung up on is having to make my city look like a min/max modern monstrosity just to survive for late game. i just cant stand looking at a lifeless cog wheel town because it just feels ugly to me. i always wanna make things look nice and realistic looking while also being logical, which i guess is my problem. i hate having to play a certain way just to do good and not lose immediately.

I believe Strat pointed out that your market booth workers need to be working in the store house or the grainery. Other wise they have to go back to their home or where they work to replenish and that adds delay in restocking. Strat also said that if you have 45 houses you need 45 of each food item to keep it at 100%. only firewood and Char. can be used as one meaning if you have 45 houses you can have any combination of firewood and char that add up to 45 or more together. not sure if the double plots mean you have to add more for them or not.

I had a somewhat similar design with a central hub that was a pentagon shaped road. The hub contained my church, tavern, market, granary, and storage. I the. Made a “pinwheel” of 5 arterial roads off each line of the pentagon. I’m over 200 pop on tier 2 houses and this weekend should be able to have tier 3. I had way less roads than you as traffic seems inconsequential other than distance. I also had more extra large plots as with the pin wheel you just swirl around the point and out ie Long skinny plots stay close to the center markers etc. I also think that a distribution of central storage and more on the periphery is key to logistics and efficiency in harvest and manufacture of goods. Great input throughout the vid!
