Question is still remains same that why lateral surface area of cylinder is equal to surface area of sphere.

Thank you for your video. Is there a way for you to illustrate why the lateral area of a cylinder is the same as the surface area of a sphere? I do not understand any intuitive relationship between them, and it is difficult for me to imagine why I would end up with a sphere if I folded down (infinitely many) slices to the middle of a cylinder.

Sir if surface area of sphere will not be equal to the lateral surface area then what will be the surface area of sphere??

Suppose we consider sphere in two dimensional arrangements and stacked closer to each other then how much surface area of the plain surface is occupied how can we relate this to radius of sphere ?

I knew that the earth was a flat surface. What's left of the radius in the sphere/cylinder, is what's called the firmament. With that being said, there are no planets out there neither, I'm sure.

I thought that you were going to do the math on a half hollow sphere, which would really explain our earth. You should do that and make a video about the earth in this manner!

I came here for the first time and received what I was looking forward to learning. Thanks.
