Created specifically for practice sessions, Quiet Tone Practice cymbals by SABIAN are designed to respond and feel like traditional cymbals – right down to their clearly defined bell – so drummers won’t have to change the way they play.

Available in 4 box sets with 4 popular cymbal configurations, Quiet Tone cymbals are manufactured from a tough, durable alloy that resists dents and stains, while looking great on any kit.

Quiet Tone Cymbals will be available in January 2018.

Honestly hating on Sabian for releasing another low volume cymbal option is like hating on another company for having a hole in their cymbal... sure Zildjian started it but how is Sabian wrong to provide a similar and perhaps even better alternative for people who prefer their brand. I think it's a great thing.

Very interesting. We all know this is Sabian's own take on the quiet cymbals, but the bell tone on those is fantastic and definitely gains my interest. But they do seem a bit louder than the Zildjian ones. Definitely have a fuller crash sound, but I'm curious to see how quiet they actually are. Either way, can't wait to check them out sometime!!

I've never been a huge fan of the Zildjian L80 cymbals, and I was hoping son that Sabian would make quiet cymbals as well, and here we go!

It might just be the mix, but these sound loud. Without the sound muffling heads at the beginning of the video the cymbals sound perfect along with the rest of the kit. But once the muffles are used it seems like the cymbals are to loud for the quiet, practice set up.. is there any decibel or percentage rating you guys have reguarding how loud they are? They do sound terrific. I'm just curious how quiet they really are.

Can someone post a video displaying how these cymbals sound compared to a kit with regular non muffle heads on it? It would be great to hear the difference in volume.

Are these going to be released at Namm? I can't find them on the site yet

Are these going to be cheaper than the zildjians models?

I hope you will soon be sorting out the European distribution of your Quiet Tone products: the much higher prices and limited availability over here make them a lot less interesting than they would otherwise be.

I'm a little disappointed to see that you essentially did the same thing as Zildjian with the Gen16's and the L80's. But, I'd be interested to try those and these side by side to see which ones actually sound better.

Ingenious! And of course it's Sabian.

Now if only there were low volume choppers. IDK how but I know Sabian can make it happen. (P.S. glad the chopper is a Sabian original)
