SABIAN Quiet Tone Cymbals with Troy Wright

Показать описание
These are the new Quiet Tone cymbals by Sabian. They are the best alternative to quiet practicing cymbals on the market right now. Accompanied with these are Remo's Silent Stroke skins, played on a Pearl Export EXX (links below).

The performance in this video was recorded only using 2 Shure SM-81's as over heads (I did also mic up the snare with a Beta57 but did not include that in the mix).

*Filmed and recorded at the Wright Drum School Studios, Gold Coast, Australia

I've been hesitant on getting a drum kit for a long time because of how much noise it'd make. But after hearing the sound of these I wanna start saving up for my first drum kit. Thank you for showing me these Troy, it is greatly appreciated!

We've got them on our practice kits too, they sound really unique and feel amazing when you lay into them. I've got quite a love for all of Sabian's cymbals.

I had the opportunity to try these about a week ago. They are just as quiet as they seem in the video. They sound like crap but they feel so much better than hitting pads on an electronic kit. I hit hard when i play and the drums with muffling pads were louder than the cymbals.

Ive seen drummers stack these types of cymbals. I got to play the zildjian low sound LV8 and seen a zildjian video of these types of cymbals and loved the idea! I want to check out the sabians too and buy some!

The bad part about you demoing stuff is that everything sounds good with your playing😂😂

Are you thinking about uploading another Meshuggah vid, maybe even a Violent Sleep of Reason medley?

Hmmm... It seems like you are totally out of youtube but it would be amazing to see you playing something from last album from polyphia. You know, like old times :)

What do you recommend to quiet down the drums?

Honestly mate .. we’re not playing drums to be quiet . I don’t see the point nor really like the sound of stainless steel, not even as a race bike

This Dude just doesn't understand how to play drums like a musician. He never accents anything and has zero dynamics. It's more like a caveman beating on rocks. It's really a shame because he could really become a great drummer if he only knew how to be a musician and that's what separates the men from the boys.
