I think Revit tends to be limited in because of the way it's taught in schools. My method of teaching Revit never starts with walls but conceptual Massing and Adaptive Components

Very true, but it is also kind of the same story with autocad, sketchup, etc. Every architect should use some other methods to start a design such as sketching or making models

That is why one of our profs took initiative and had a form finding workshops arranged and we learnt a lot from it. We basically used grasshopper for most of it. It was really fun but as soon as we got back to our design studios our old profs made us do the boring rectangles again.

What convention and style you said can be done using revit
It was called family
And it was more easy to edit and simulate after import to project
So, i suggest they used earlier
If they are not suck in software

The unfortunate reality is that good intuitive Cad is far too expensive for the average person and is so, to keep the majority ignorant to their own capabilities/ potential. Especially when engineering can be interchanged with weapons design.
