Thanks for sharing. All this software is great, most notably blender, which has come a long way in the past couple of years and is having an impact on the 3d industry. However there is a distinct difference between software for architecture and software for architectural visualisation. As an architect, a key part of any software is the ability to produce actual printable drawings that would be at the standard needed for client presentation, submission for approvals then construction documents. Key being the ease at which these can be made and the level of control over graphic style. The amount that the Construction industry spends on software yearly via subscriptions, it would be great if the industry could work with the blender institution to have a genuine industry leading software that is openBim and opensource.

I've tested most of them in day to day architectural work. Only Blender proved itself (about 6 years back it wasn't that great either but since then it improved A LOT), and SketchUp being passable. I'm actually disappointed we don't have a good open source cad by now. Loving the concept of open source software, but for now, sadly, payed solutions.
