Hey Justin, I am looking at buying the Simrad GO7 and I have a choice between that "3 in 1 Active Imaging" or "Total Scan" ... which is best and why. I cannot find any photo comparisons showing difference... perhaps you know why. I'd like to most clearly seeing the bottom contours and fish (in water less than 50').

I have 2 kayaks, one with a total scan transducer and one will soon get a ti2 with active imaging transducer.
I want to be able to use the ti2 unit on both kayaks, is it possible?

Hello Justin, I just got my elite 9 ti2 to replace my hds 7 @ my console. I also have an hds 5 on my bow on my 2009 Ranger 188dvx and the LSS1 with the structure scan. I see that I must change my transducer to the 3-1 transducer that came with the unit. I’m the second owner and the original owner had the transducer for the structure scan mounted on the boat setback by just screwing the unit in and wiring through the drain for the backwash hole and into the boat to the console. It’s a great concept but can I do the same with the 3-1 transducer, hope I’m making sense now this, and if you like to see this I can send you pics
