It probably wouldn’t fit in the bell housing but this would make the install a lot easier. Good vid

It's actually 3 clicks! Don't worry you will get better as time goes on! I'm 13 years old but I watch my dad do it on his drag car

For a 32rh (2002 jeep wrangler) the fsm says to use a straight edge across the mating surface of the bell housing then the bolt lugs (four rectangles) should have a 1/2" gap from the straight edge. I just measured my original part before removing it and it actually had a 0.6" gap. Point is, put the part back where it used to be 👍 and it never hurts to check your fsm. I downloaded mine for free.

Um, you wouldn't be able to hook up the bell housing to the engine block if it's not all the way in. You would be there awhile trying to figure out why the bell housing and the engine block are not together.

That's insane that people could miss something like that. I figure the bell housing wouldn't even fit right if they missed that

If you didn’t do the clicks, then your car won’t go forward or backwards right? Since the torque converter isn’t all the way in?
My dad forgot to do that 😅

How much transmission fluid to put in torque converter before installing?

cooldude

What if transmission fluid is leaking between gearbox and engine?

That looked like it was two click I seated my torque converter and heard the clink I keep seeing people say it’s 3 clicks, but my converter is pressed up against the flex plate kind of tight I did swap out the 6.0 LQ9 for an lq4 and the flex plate I changed it for one that looks the same the “spacer “ for the flex plate I installed on the new one but it it’s very tight fit the converter to align it I had to use a pry bar to adjust the holes only thing I can think of is the flex plate didn’t need the spacer as it has a longer crank ?

I remember learning to do this in auto class

So anyone who watches this guy he's wrong there are 3 clicks on most and if you install it with it out 1 click you will damage the transmission. Good information though. Usually the rule I make sure a finger will not fit behind the converter and transmission

It would've bound up the engine and potentially broke the pump.

If this has to be explained then my respect for mechanics has officially dropped to zero.

Wrong 3 clicks guys if anything spend extra time and imagine there are four clicks that way you won’t have issues

That's not new, I've been doing that since the mid-80s

Except if it isn't all the way in the trans can't be fully mated up and you wouldn't be able to turn the crank.

Don't give up your day job

Its been a minute but its should be 3 and also your probably wouldn't f anything up because you wont be able to turn the flex plate due to it being stuck
