Croatian Pattern 'CROPAT' Camouflage Effectiveness

In this video we will look at a set of tactical clothing produced by SPAR-TAC. The clothing is featured in the camouflage pattern of the Croatian armed forces commonly referred to as “CRO-PAT”. We will be taking an up close look of the uniform as well as testing the Camouflage pattern in a heavily vegetated woodland environment during the spring time (North Texas woods). This video will consist of numerous scenes where each will begin with a concealed stationary position (both with & without the use of vegetation), followed by a movement phase out of the initial position. The purpose of the video is to give the viewer a chance to see the individual camouflage pattern and how it looks and blends into this environment. There will be varying degrees of how much of the uniform will be exposed to the viewer. Some scenes will only expose little more than perhaps a boonie hat, while other scenes have very little vegetation covering.

One thing that I forgot to mention guys is that these uniforms offered by SPAR-TAC come in a variety of different colors and camouflage patterns. This looks like the best over all designed temperate Battle dress uniform to date.

In 1997, I was deployed to Croatia as part of the Estonian Army Military Police. Being a "Visitor".

I've got to say the Croats, really improved their uniforms from the US Woodland copy they had.

It shows they learned from the various "Visitors" uniforms.

I see elements of the Swedish design with internal Zipper pockets like We had on our Estonian uniforms. Which is an excellent feature. I could for my entire, Glock 17 in the chest zipper pockets and zip up seal it in there. I also had input in designing prototype Battle Bress uniforms for the Estonian Defence Forces.
Even got College credit for it.

I hope that the US Military learns some good pointers for future Uniform design from this outstanding Croatian advanced Battle dress uniform. Way to go Croatia.

This is official camo of the Croatian Armed Forces but not the uniform. The uniform we wear has straight chest pockets with velcro, sleeve pocket only on left arm and no internal pockets. Also pants are a classic button up system, no velcro or zipper, with only 2 normal pockets and 2 cargo side pockets, no extra pockets, no extra velcro. It's made by Čateks, also a Croatian company, this spar-tac one is great and I like it better but it's used commercially and not by the military.

Of the 25 years of service in the armed forces of the Croat last 7 I wore this a desert pattern and I am very pleased with that uniform. Its quality and durability, comfort and impact on the ground in all conditions is excellent. (see my picture)

Although I'm Croatian, I came here after watching the effectiveness of southafrican nutria.
I must admit that I had doubts regarding digital pattern, maybe because of mind being used to woodland camo which was used by croatian army during the independence war.

Did you know, The word tie comes from the French word "croata". In his book La Grande Historie de la Cravate, the French writer Francois Chaille, talks about the tie in the following way:
"... around 1635, some six thousand soldiers and knights, came to Paris to support King Louis XIII of France, among them a large number of Croatian mercenaries who, led by the ban, remained in the service of the French King. The marble was made of different materials, rough, worn by ordinary soldiers, silk and cotton-wool wearing by the officers. This "Croatian elegant style", completely Unknown in Europe at the time, around 1650 was accepted in the French court and became a fashionable garment among the bourgeoisie of that time as a symbol of culture and elegance.In addition to beauty, these scarves were more practical than the rigid lace dresses of French soldiers and officers "In England he brought the necktie to Charles II on his return from exile, the necktie soon won as a fashion garment and the whole of Europe ..."

I've seen almost all of your camouflage pattern test videos and I have to say this is one of the best thus far! Consistently did your actual positioning surprise me and consistently was I wrong about where I thought you were.
