I'd love to think there is a garage queen Changli out there somewhere.

I brought a child's cheap Chinese electric ATV for my small farm as I can no longer walk more than a few meters. In just a couple of months I clocked up over 100 kilometres. My sheep have eaten the indicators and a few minor things but does the job of an adult Japanese petrol ATV for a fraction of the price. I love it and she even has a name 'Elly'. If I could get one of those little cars I certainly would. I could see them both happily charging next to each other 🥰 Thanks for the update 👍

So genuinely there are 3 issues. The bar, the hole in the back, and the mirrors.

Some new motorbike mirrors, a few welds, and bit of putty fixes all the issues.

Changli is my passport to luxury living in my retirement. The hell with 401s! I bought a Changli 9 months ago. It is now sitting in my garage on blocks. The entire car is covered in vis-queen. I have exactly 1.2 km in mileage on it. In another 19 years, you will see it at auction on Barett-Jackson. Just imagine what a 20-year-old Changli in pristine condition will sell for. In the car collector world, the sky is the limit. I am thinking of the order of $ 2-2.3 million!!! Hell yeah! Better than buying a lottery ticket with hope. I will be strolling in high cotton! Be happy, be safe.

By the way, you can remove the speed limiter. All electric cars in china have speed limiters.

I remember when you bought this. It's awesome to come back and see this. I've been wanting to buy this since LOL

That little beast would look awesome as a woody wagon, like the 1930s and 40s style woodies!

what's really cool is that all the minor issues are cosmetic and not mechanical! pretty awesome!

I have in my possession, a Wheeltech Mercury M48 mobility scooter which is around 20 years old. Now that scooter is basically the same engineering as the Changli, just smaller. So what ever it can do, the Changli should be able to do at least as well, and probably better. I would not be surprised to find the Changli is still around in 20 years. The shiny bits may not be so shiny, and the paintwork may have faded a bit, but the vehicle will very likely be just as good.

Does the Changli use a brushless motor? - If it does, then all the better. Brushes are the bits that are likely to let you down worst of all.

The worst part (for me) is that you cannot get hold of these vehicles in the UK, not for love, nor money!

Spray the underside in fluid film after a good cleaning and drying, will keep rust from starting.

To be blunt, I’d be very interested in one. Sounds odd, but given that I don’t drive far that often it would be fun as Hell

I could see having one if I owned a house either in Sanibel or South Padre Island, just for errands like you described.

Delighted to know it is lasting. I think for those tiny car enthusiast, it will last even longer if taken care by them. I would repaint a second layer underneath it with anti rust paint upon receiving this car. 🚙👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I absolutely cannot wait to see this thing overclocked and with some more power behind it. I am worried that the extra power might cause some other areas to fail, such as the brakes, but what a little trooper!
