I think for electric vehicles to have a chance we need more of these basic, no-frills and more affordable cars. Most people don't care at all for fancy technology features.

Not everyone drives their car to go fast and have fun, lots of people just need something cheap to go somewhere and also safety is a factor for a lot of people

I cannot over emphasize the importance of being an experienced trader to make good returns off the crypto space, else you'd join the group that call it a gamble.
Those that understand the market trends always seem to be a step ahead and apply adequate measures to stay secure no matter the situation.

Hi Shelby, a few notes:
I noticed you were driving in Eco mode which is designed to smooth out acceleration to use as little power as possible to get up to speed. Turn off Eco mode and the car becomes a speedy jackrabbit!
Using the arrow buttons on left side of the steering wheel you can navigate to the battery menu and there you will see the charge rate and estimated time to a full charge while charging the car, sadly it is not as visible as Tesla but it is there.
If you ever do another Leaf review, if possible, try to access a fully equipped Leaf SL Plus, still not a Tesla, but it is much more tesla like than the particular Leaf variant you were driving.
Keep up the good work.

It's not fair to keep comparing it to a Tesla. You make some legitimate critiques of the car but constantly comparing it to the top of the line manufacturer isn't apples to apples. I'll probably never be able to afford a Tesla, nor am I looking for a luxury vehicle. If we're going to move in the direction of electric vehicles as a whole, we need these more accessible models.

The Nissan Leaf is a great everyday option and highly affordable for an electric vehicle. The point of an electric car is: it doesn’t run on gas & it gets you places. The Leaf fulfills all those requirements.

The constant Tesla comparison is becoming annoying tbh. It’s an out of touch attitude because not everyone can afford a Tesla nor get the financing for one. The down payment on a Tesla is $10, 000 alone with a $600/mo payment. It’s not accessible to everyone. So instead of critiquing the “simplicity” and the “downgrade” that this car is, you should recognize it’s accessibility & affordability. That would be an honest and thoughtful pov rather than the childish & snobbish “BUt ITS nOt a TeslAAaaa”.

"like an Android phone"? Not all Androids are slow. That interface looks like a 2013 Android not a 2022 Android. Most modern Google Pixel's and Samsung's are quite fast and smooth

I feel like the comparison kept going negative because "its not a Tesla". Not everyone can afford or wants a Tesla. Also not everyone wants all the bells and whistles to have to deal with. I know a few people who actually havent been happy with their Teslas. I think it just comes down to personal preference and what you actually need from a vehicle.

They also lease for like 195 bucks. I was considering a Tesla but could not deny that price. The software has apple carplay which is the only thing I use. I also only charge at home so it works perfect for us since I have another gas car if needed for roadtrips. I think for 25k its a no brainer. We walked away from Tesla due to the price, and I'm a tech person (software engineer at big tech). The noise is superrrr overkill though, the new Teslas we drove had a quieter back up. I also am a baby and hate driving so speed is not a consideration for me ha. To each is own and I love that everyone has options now :).

A lot of iOS users are out of touch with other technology. That’s why they’re called the walled garden they never venture out of it.

Did you just call android phones outdated, Shelby? thems fighting words :)
hyundai kona I think has more range like a base tesla at around 35k
kia EV6 is around 37k and is also quite capable iirc.
Tesla Model 3 was supposed to be a 35k car but the price slipped many times.
A used kona or ioniq might be a good deal if you are on a budget. Personally I bought a model 3 performance with white seats. There can be only one :)

IMO it's not fair to constantly compare this car against a Tesla or Mach E. You should be comparing this car against a similar class ICE car (Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Chevy Malibu, etc).

Don't do Android like that. 😭😭😭😭 Modern Android is sooo much better than whatever Nissan got going on.

Don’t forget the Hyundai Kona Electric! Starts off at $34k for the SEL and you still get 258 miles of range! Honestly think it’s the better bargain. But yeah, I think the market needs a lot more of these basic EVs. Make it more accessible to the average citizen.

good video no disrespect but your comparrison to an android phone is totally wrong. Ive had both apple and android, currently android and it is so much better than iphone just saying

Hmmm... Android phones have really good interfaces. This is not the story like used to be many years ago. And also much more versatile than Apple phones (not necessarily better for everyone).
This car is for someone who want electric car without some futuristic features and look, regular exterior and of course more convenient price.

the android front at the beginning is kinda unfair.. the interface / software looks indeed like a android .. BUT like android in 2014…
today android is as good as apple.
