Jackie is really born a star. I watched her autobiography and she is an amazing woman. She is a smart woman and she knows what she wants. Imagine she is supposed to marry her boyfriend instead she ended up marry John F. Kennedy and that’s destiny. Again while still married to John her sister invited her to spent on vacation in Greece while her sister was a friend of Onassis unexpected this man Onassis give her a gift a bracelet. Who would think that she will marry Onassis after all those years ? But Jackie married Onassis. Sad to know Onassis leaving his longtime girlfriend Callas. Jackie live a life following her destiny that is meant for her. Unfortunately her life is not a bed of Roses. She endured so much pains and sufferings.

Was lucky to be a US citizen during the Kennedy years. Admired her strength and grace when the President was killed. I, too, lost my husband during my early 30’s. I remember sitting in Church, praying that I could emulate her for my young children. I needed someone to lean on, and though I only had memories of her strength, I did feel her strength!

Mostly posed or formal shots: no indication of what her personal feelings were. She did a good job of keeping her private /family life mostly concealed and that couldnt have been easy. I was glad she had a companion at the end of her life and that she did not live through John-John's death.

Just remember, we had Princess Grace and Audrey Hepburn as role models in the 1950s... and Jackie was similar in background and interests...

Kennedy wanted Jackie kept away from Onassis because of Onassis's womanising? Pot. Kettle. Black!

Beautiful First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. There's no one quite like her. I used to wonder why she married Onassis. Now that I am older and wiser, and we are finding out who was really behind the assassination of JFK, I can understand completely how she must have felt. I mean he was shot in broad daylight sitting right next to her on that horrible day in Dallas, Texas. She knew who killed him. Onassis provided her a sense of security. She didn't feel safe in her own country.

Pure class and style and beauty. I felt so lucky as a kid to have a nice handsome president and a perfect First Lady to idolize even now. And anyone who makes unfortunate remarks about her, will be showing ignorance of her or just jealousy. All First Ladies after her have held her as the high bar to attain.

Jackie had the privileged life of the very wealthy. Her family was wealthy, but not the wealth of the Kennedy family. She was groomed to appreciate that life style and marry well. Even though she was working as a photographer, you know she’d never wed the cop on the corner or a handsome fireman in her area. I liked Jackie, she was actually too refined for the crude Kennedy clan. She felt that way too. She did start to question her decision to wed Jack, his family were much too rough for her liking….her words. She was very concerned when Rose told her to “look the other way and have babies”. I believe Onassis was a marriage of convenience not love. Toward the end of her life she was comfortable and had companionship. Unfortunately, most women who associate with the Kennedy men end up either dead or very emotionally hurt.

A.I. strikes again! John Kennedy didn't have a son named Ted, but a brother named Ted, the prominent U. S, Senator.
