Jacqueline maintained so much grace and dignity throughout her marriage to JFK.

She herself was a very nice person. One of the nicest things she ever did for people was, after her JFK's funeral, she got a lot of mail from people all over the country, expressing their condolences to her about her husband being killed and her being a widow to raise two children on her own. She spent day and night writing back personally to each and every person who wrote to her. I think she did it out of thanks, but also to help the people that wrote to her out of the pain they were suffering from. It took her a couple of months, of her writing day and night, but she did it.

Rest in peace Jackie-O.

Life was kind to her in some ways and absolutely terrible to her in other ways.

I understand Jackie and can relate because its a lonely world waiting to see your murdered husband again. When all you can think about is just wanting to see and talk to him one more time. You have your faith to hold you up when you feel you cannot stand another day without him.

There are striking similarities between John and Jackie Kennedy, and Australia's Prime Minister Harold Holt (1908-1967) and his wife Zara. Holt also was a philanderer, and in an interview long after his death, Zara acknowledged this, and was asked how she felt about it. She said that a woman in such a position has two choices: she can kick up a fuss, or look the other way. She said she chose to look the other way. Like Jackie overseeing renovations of the White House, Zara oversaw renovations of The Lodge, the Prime Minister's official residence in Canberra. Like JFK, Holt died in office, on December 17, 1967. He went in for a swim in rough conditions at Cheviot Beach, Portsea, Victoria, and the small group which accompanied him, which included one of his mistresses, soon lost sight of him. Despite a massive search operation, his body was never found.

He was a horrible person, one of our better presidents but as a
He mistreated his wife terribly with his many infidelities, many right in her face!
She married onassis to protect her children and he was no better, carrying on with Maria Callas.

Who would think a woman as beautiful, educated and accomplished as she was would never find a man to appreciate her.
Jackie deserved so much better than life gave her.
Rest in peace.

I'm obsessed with the Kennedy's. Such a beautiful couple ❣️ it's sad he couldn't control his urges. I'll never forget the footage of JFK being shot and her protection of her husband.
May they both have eternal peace. 🕊️🙏❤️

Even my GOP Dad loved JFK and Jackie. The World loved them. Went to see their Hyannis home--nothing flashy--when JFK was one of the richest Presidents. Went to their graves in WDC. I've liked most Presidents on both sides of the aisle. There will never be another magical pair as they were. And JFK was SO witty. God Bless.

I remember hearing that Jackie found a pair of women's underpants in their bedroom and told Jack, "These aren't my size."

The Kennedys story is always an interesting one for me and I love reading or watching documentaries about them. They Dynasties docuseries that came out on CNN was amazing. I don’t necessarily believe in curses I just find it fascinating this family had all this power but would have some of the most controversial and darkest secrets and tragedies.

As a grade school student I was emersed in the significance of the Kennedys, although we only saw the positive family fiendly side. I well remember the Cuban missle crisis as my dad was a B-52 crew chief. Also that day and long weekend in November 1963 remains forever seared in my mind.

I always thought Jackie's short curly hairstyle at the time of her marriage to JFK was the most flattering to her.

The Kennedy 'spell', that to this day, overcomes millions of Americans is inexplainable. The excuses are amazing.
