As a young person who has been in pain since I have been 10yo and now 23yo there is no ammount of resilience that can help youth feel less pain if doctors refuse to send young people to specialists to create a plan to provide pain management. I have been in therapy for years and just got a reference to a rheumatologist. My doctor told me at multiple occasion that there was nothing to do for my pain. That it was only anxiety.
Not only do doctors need to believe the youth in their office are not lying but the treatments offered needs to bw accessible. Other wise resilience won't help.
