I run in the early morning because it’s the hardest thing I will do that day. When I’m done I know whatever comes next ain’t that bad...

I run purely for the mental benefits. Been doing 5 miles a day and it's reducing my depression.

I do 3-4 mile runs every other day and the feeling of satisfaction you get when your done and drenched in sweat and legs are sore is like nothing else. It’s a happy pain.

‘Driving through the little pieces of pain in your legs and lungs’ - this is it. This is going to be my inspiration on days I don’t feel like running. Knowing that it’s normal to feel that pain, that everyone goes through it.

Its so beatuful when you go running very early in the morning, in like 4 or 5 am, its so quiet and peaceful and the sun is just rising, that's when you feel when you are ahead of all the other people

Running is the ONLY way that I have found to silence my thoughts. It gives me peace and serenity for a while.

I've been running consistently for nearly three years and have never listened to music whilst doing so. It's music to my ears hearing the birds chirping insects squealing and the continuous beat of my stride while getting into deep thought.
I'm not calling anyone out for using music it's probably quite awesome like I mentioned above I have never tried it.
In the end, running is a therapeutic process for ones mind, body, and spirit.

I started running as a way to fight depression and never stopped since.

I’m running because I bought a expensive pair of trainers and can’t take them back

This was beautiful. I think many runners can identify with that feeling of simply being alive, propelled by your own feet and legs, hearing the birds sing.

Really appreciate this. The craving is real, especially the feeling of outdoing yourself. I also appreciate the feeling of tuning out distractions and being clearer with how your mind operates. That’s something I’m striving for these days is to have a calmer mind

Dude, i have the same physic as you, i do a lot of lifting... and i see a lot of these skinny guys who are very good at running, but i always wanted to be a runner. So I started running... and i can`t stop, it`s freedom. These runs in the morning, it`s just pure hapyness!

I just came across this video and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a 56 year old male, and I was and off an on runner for many years, but this year I've been able to stick with it for 6 months now. It's like an addiction for me, I keep waking up in the middle of the night, waiting for 4:15 am to come around and strap on my Hoka's and grab my black Labrador and head out for a run. I was running 5 to 6 times a week, but I started having calf issues, but now I'm back to 3 to 4 times a week. I'm building a good base and hope to up my mileage soon. Great video,

Next year I will be 70 years old.
I can't run and enjoy it anymore, so I started power walking.
Christ I am glad i found this form of exercise.
So people there is no excuse not to train.
