"Monarchies have some good features beyond their star qualities.

They can reduce the size and parasitic nature of the management bureaucracy.

They can make speedy decisions when necessary.

They fit an ancient human demand for a parental (tribal/feudal) hierarchy where every person knows his place.

It is valuable to know your place, even if that place is temporary.

It is galling to be held in place against your will.

This is why I teach about tyranny in the best possible way — by example."

Does he have the power to do whatever he wants? Yes... and no. A king has aristocrats and nobles he must keep happy. If ever too many of his key fiefdoms become too unpleased with his rule they could/would rebel. And if the people are religious he will in a way answer to the High Priest, Pope, Imam, etc.

Why so few. Colonialism is why most of the world no longer have kings. For example Japan after losing WW2 was forced to become a constitutional Monarchy. As for Europe. It is because the aristocrats and nobles found it easier to do business without a king telling them what to do, and it became easier for the super rich to rule behind a puppet figure head as opposed to the people in a bad economy placing the blame directly at the feet of the King and Nobles. Now they simply say, hey you voted for this guy, or hey if you don't like it vote better.

I believe for the average person life under a King, President or dictator is not truly affected on a day to day level. Anyone of these systems can become overreaching and anyone can be good or bad.

1. Yes. As long as the people accepted him and his son because of their "Divine Right", they would do as he commanded, even if the church said no.
2. Because of time, monarchs became worse, and people strived for alternatives.

monarchy actually had limits for example the pope, yes i know it sounds stupid but listen for a moment in medieval times the pope was basicly the king of world it was the most important state beacose pope crowned the kings in God's name and king had to follow the divine rules known as decalog basically 10 commandments, of corse some of the were tyrants but that was mostly before christianity when there was no such athority as pope or singular God and prince didn't have any childhood he was prepared to be a responible ruler beacose it was super easy to assassinate king one poison or good propaganda was enough to dethrone the king and elect new

What a bad explanation of monarchy. You forget that the divine right of kings was a concept that was developed in the modern era. Secondly, kingdoms and principalities were exceedingly legalistic. This meant that individuals whom were poor could opt for lawyers to stand up for their rights, because they didn't know them themselves. Third, you're completely ignoring the power of the Catholic Church. That's why so many kings had their coronations in their cathedrals. If a king was bad, the Church would often excommunicate them; as was often the case. AND you're ignoring the manorialist institutions that guaranteed the livelihoods of the common man. Not to mention the free food given by the priestly classes.

Why are there so few monarchies anymore? So many answers to that. Politics, Bankers, Corporatist scum, socialists and atheists. A kingdom needs a soul. A democracy does not.

1. I do believe he did, even in athiestical world carl the 2nd would have the highest education and the drive to be just as good/better than his father.
2.well one reason could be that America was a great country so others followed them -alsothey blewpeopleup- another being ww1 kinda demorilized the will of european kings while in asia ideologie wars were fought all over the place. But in the middle east kings did not face such things.

Not that I'll be listened to or acknowledged & likely I can fax over real info if you like of all that I say in advance to who wants to learn truth about systems & real history?? Well ok, to answer your question in legitimacy of sincerity Sir, that type of monarchy isn't nearly as old as the original Republic MONARCHIES & it's just simply dictatorship communism to the extreme....

Here's a legit history lesson for your question.... Respectfully sir.... Playing God they got punished & people put it down easily due to vast numbers.... & No blindfolded mind control like 2024 is ..

I can't help but laugh.... Only if they knew... 😂That's only brand new future monarchy of 1200 A.D to 1699 A.D before it was the BIBLICAL REPUBLIC MONARCHIES SECOND HAND ACT REPUBLIC THAT ACTUALLY HAD IT LIKE THAT....

KINGS QUEENS couldn't repossess anything & couldn't take anything & OWNED NOTHING but what they could BUY & the people the Republic was FORCED TO PICK LEADERS to ask any questions they wanted directly to the Kingdoms leaderships & Kings & Queens alike, who had to answer the REPUBLIC!!!! & everything was smooth for about 8, 000 years given this worlds about 14, 000 years old & basically until around 1199 A.D it was perfect but the only GOLDEN AGES FOR ANYWHERE WAS & IS BETWEEN 797 A.D TO 1099 A.D & IN 1859 TO 1888 & IN 1920 TO 1945 & IN 1970 TO 1990 THEN UP UNTIL 2003, THEN EVERYTHING WENT INSANE!!!! lost!!! & Very harsh!!! Basically!!!

God bless you & your's to all, Sincerely, ~Paul
