Hello Kalle! I am 16 years old and I have started to feel all the suffocating and artificiality of city life and the weight of our mechanical lives quite a lot over the last few years (I guess the effects of starting to grow up!) and I believe we belong to Mother Nature for million reasons. And i saw your videos today and they were like some kind of therapy to me. "This is exactly what i want" i thought. I cannot wait to escape from concrete and live in the extraordinary beauties of nature in the future like you. I just wanted to thank you and Christine for sharing your beautiful story :) Lots of love from İstanbul💖

Kalle, I laughed out loud when you said that living in your cabin in the woods can be a pain in the ass! Yep! It toally can be! I live off grid in a tiny cabin, but when I look out my kitchen window at the mountains, I always think how blessed I am to live where most people only get to vacation.

I am 54 years old and more so now than at any time in my life the message in this video really speaks to me. It's so easy to be absorbed by the expectations of societal standards, to fall into the pattern of obligation and the burden of responsibility. I wish these types of life choices and wisdom were more openly discussed, or even taught earlier in life. Thank you for the discount code, I wish I'd done this sooner but I am finally a premium Curiosity subscriber.

I live in Sri Lanka, and I really enjoy your videos. It always recalls my hometown and the village where I lived for my childhood. But because of my career, I had to move to Colombo and stuck with a hectic lifestyle. But somehow I will leave this place and hope to go back to my village.

This channel is going to be huge. The quality of the video, the genuine person behind the camera, and the message to live more with less is just a masterpiece all together.
You have gained myself as a new lifetime subscriber. Excited to find this channel so early in it's journey!

I cant wait for the book! Having just moved to my cabin in Norway I’m still adapting to the new lifestyle. My cabin is a bit more modern. We have water and electricity, but there is still may things we have to adapt to. I love photography and filming aswell and just started recording our journey. I’m sure the book will be very helpful and I’m super excited for it!

You are so funny:) This brings back memories of visiting relatives in Canada. When I was young, we drove up to Canada and stopped to visit one of my aunts. She was so excited to show us her new indoor bathroom she was giddy. I never met someone so happy to not have to use the outhouse in my life. (Being from the city we had indoor plumbing since I was a child.)

Another great video. Love the bloopers....they really show how much effort you put into the making of each one of your creations. Keep up the fabulous work!! From Ontario, Canada

Love the video as always ❤ I'm a 64 yr old woman who had the privilege of living with an elderly woman after her husband died to help take care of her farm animals and take her to her doctor's appointments and for food. That was a bit of a learning experience for me from going from hot showers to no hot water and a wood cook stove and another one in the living room for heat in an old farm house. I'd already worked on a farm as a young kid growing up so that wasn't so bad and I'd already helped my older brother with wood but never been responsible for an older lady and wood stoves. I love to split wood so that's no big deal. And I love your new axe 🪓 and compliments to your friend for such a nice gift. Oh yeah I also have 2 Scythe's and used to use my dad's growing up, it's great exercise and relaxing as is chopping wood. Carrying water in the winter to feed and water the animals can be a bit of a chore 😅 and a bit annoying having to heat water on the wood stove to get washed up but I can say that they are some of the best years of my life and learning to appreciate the simple things in life. I've always been an outdoor person from a young age and going for walks with my dad. Needless to say therein is peace to be outdoors and in touch with nature and your own being. I'm hoping to eventually be able to return to that lifestyle 🙏 God willing. A small cabin a creek or stream on top of the mountain ⛰ I love the mountains! 😉💖 Thanks again for helping me to visualize my dream.

Retiring early, before age sixty, was the happiest thing I ever did. I live with less, in a 162 year old house (that needs work). But I'm surrounded by books, and art, and I have classical music, and old movies to watch. No television. The ringer on my phone is always turned off. Contentment.
My current project is planting my back yard, for the birds, bees, butterflies, bats, and bunnies.
You children make me smile. Thank you.
