How to RETRIEVE and LINK your 'lost' Honkai Account | Honkai Impact 3rd

its kinda funny how they tried to clean up stuff with this method but forgot that a shit ton of people including me have to create a new hoyoverse account because honkai impact auto created one because it not beeing linked which is basically a trap for any player that wants to get back to the game

Thank goodness I linked my account a while back. I kinda started to get pressured when I had to manually login for some reason.

It shows the correct information but it keeps making a new account and whenever I try to link my account it says it is already linked

Hello, it's not about me but about a friend. He has no access to his account after updating to version 5.8. However, he thinks he has connected his account to Hoyoverse. But everything he tried so far failed. Now he is dealing with the supports since version 5.8 is out, and it is actually getting more complicated than before. Ai-Chan said he had to fill out a form to unbind his account. So the new account (which he doesn't need anyway) would be lost but he could access his account again. This sounded exactly like the solution we needed. But now he was sitting in front of the form and point 1 says exactly the opposite of what Ai-Chan told him. "1. The current Hoyoverse account which you don't remember, once the unbind process is completed, the game account will be lost and unretrievable." Has anyone had experience with this? He is very unsure as he definitely does not want to lose his 1st account.

And I honestly can't understand why it's all so cumbersome. He has now told the support several times what he wants.

But the issue I'm getting is when I try to use the retrieve account button, it says "account error" or "system busy"

I created a new hoyoverse ac and binded just like you said but when i log in game with that it keeps making new accounts i tried with 3 new hoyoverse account but it's still new when i log in

I thought I lost my account when it created new Honkai accounts for my Facebook account instead of bringing me to the account retrieval screen
And I've already created a new Honkai account for my current Hoyoverse account, so I had to create another Hoyoverse account for the retrieval, so annoying!

Note: I didn't link because I quit Honkai years ago but come back occasionally just to redeem returnee codes for my friend, so I didn't know about this at all
