How to retrieve radio code for a 2014 honda civic. By holdingdown the start button 10 seconds when you start it. Then press the power radio button for 2 seconds. That should do it. If not your going to have to take to the dealership and have them get the code for you.

Oh my gosh, I called two dealerships and talked to four techs who couldn't figure this out. THANK YOU!

OMG, 6 years out since you posted this, als videos, and YOU’RE STILL A LIFE SAVER!! Thank YOU so much for posting this easy fix! I couldn’t find this in any of the manuals and even in the 2014 EX Reference Guide…WTF?! This happened when my battery got drained and was recharged. At my wits end, that little voice inside me screamed, “Either you slit your wrists now, or go to youtube”…and there it was als, your fix! SIR, take a bow!...you saved me from going full bore psycho!🤣

Excellent video! Straight to the point and worked perfectly. Thank you. Note: This also works for the 2015 Civic in case anyone else was searching for that year.

Thank you! I spent an hour trying to figure it out. I even went to the Honda website, which I received 5 different codes and none of them worked. I should have known to always YouTube it first! After I watched this it took about 30 seconds to unlock the radio. I just wasted an hour of my life. Wow! LOL Thanks again!👍🏽

Oh wow! I experienced this exact same problem in my 2016 Honda Fit and it absolutely worked and saved myself what I'm sure would have been an expensive trip to the dealership. A million thanks and Super thankful for sharing specially in this tough economic times!

Oh wow thank you so much!! My radio had reset while I was away on vacation and I was looking for a way to reset it without having to use a code because I lost the manual that came with the car (for those who are wondering, it’s a Honda Civic 2015). This tutorial totally did the trick! Thank you so much dude!! 😂

I tried like 5 times and it didn't work, so I disconnected the ground to my battery and left it off for a while. When I connected the ground back to the battery again and did this it worked. Thank you. :)

This worked for my 2018 Ridgeline. Every dealership website (including Honda's corporate) makes the assumption your radio has physical buttons, so the instructions mention holding down the 1 and 6 radio preset buttons... but with the Navi system, there are zero physical buttons, just a touchscreen. For the Ridgeline, the "Audio" touchscreen "button" (just above "Home") in the upper-left served the same purpose as the physical power button in this video.

Brilliant thank you. Just one thing for others with similar cars, I have a Honda civic 2014 and had to press and hold the audio power button as well as the forward seek button on the steering wheel for it to work.

EDIT - This worked with my 9th gen Civic Hatch. I don’t have Nav or the touch screen.
