Bangkok's Motorbike Taxis are organized chaos, but this video will explain the system that allows them to transport over 2M people a day in this mega-city.

We follow along with one driver and get some real insight into this job, his life, and the reason he does it. I make these videos to celebrate the Unsung Heroes of Bangkok, the greatest city on Earth with the coolest people I know.

The best restaurants, bars, hotels + activities all on an interactive map with video tours of each place, and turn-by-turn directions.

Thailand tools we've built for you:

My goal with this channel is to grow a community of Thailand Lovers who like to have fun. Day dreaming is encouraged here. Always remember, you only get so many trips around the sun... so make 'em count!

Of course, you can do as you want with this money Chris. But, I would love for you to go visit Peng again and present him with the money so he can get home and see his family. I just wish I could give more. I may not be able to help every driver in Bangkok, but one is enough for now. Perhaps others will open up their wallets and do as I have. If so, maybe Peng can fulfill that dream of going to work at his cattle ranch and be forever with his grandchildren.

I must have got some dust in my eyes when Peng was talking about being with his grandchildren.

What an interesting video. I really enjoyed it. I have only ever had good experiences with taxi drivers.

One time while vacationing in Thailand I went for a very long walk in the heat and I was not used to it. At the end of my walk I jumped on my motorbike to drive home. I didn't get very far when the heat of wearing the full faced helmet made me feel very weak and I almost passed out while driving. I was barely able to stop. I got off my bike and sat on the side walk. A motorbike taxi driver from across the street saw me struggling and he yelled at me and asked me was I okay. I said NO. He ran to me and said what do you need? I said I need cold water. He ran into 7-11 which was right next to us and came out with a 1L bottle of water and an ice cold cloth. He put the cloth on my neck and helped me get a few sips of water and poured some water on me.

He helped me at a time when I was in extreme need. I never forget that man that day and how much he helped me, I was ready to pass out. Thank God he was there.

I've seen countless of your amazing videos, but this has to be one of the most heartwarming one, right up there with when you were helping the locals with food and such during the COVID. Cheers, Chris!

Chris, another masterpiece. Your ‘day-in-the-life’ documentaries are like nothing else I’ve seen on YouTube. Simple and to the point but great production value. You demystified the craziness and humanized the industry in your portrayal of Peng. Such a dangerous life for so little money. I can’t imagine those who would haggle a lower fare. I can’t imagine how many of those 90k drivers are seriously injured or killed every year. You can see in Peng’s eyes and hear in his voice his love of his grandchildren. I hope and pray he realizes his dream one day.

Thanks for the video. The Thai people are very hard working and always have a smile. I hope he gets to see his grandchildren soon. Shokdee.

Hey Chris. I just booked my first flight to Thailand. I am staying in Bangkok for 9 nights, then Chiang Mai for about 2 weeks. I picked up Teenee too. It already saved me a huge hassle with finding a good hotel in Bangkok.

Thank you for all of your videos. I never would have been able to do this without all of the information you have given the world.
