Just wanted to thank you for what you do and getting me into one of my favorite franchises in Legend of Heroes. Hope you have a wonderful day

I would absolutely love a remake of Skies of Arcadia. Flying around in an airship and exploring the sky worlds was a lot of fun.

As a Dragon Quest fan, I'm delighted. Any games does feel like a adventure. But I think what makes Dragon Quest as a franchise felt like a grand adventure is that the story doesn't always interrupt your progression with over the top cutscenes & dialog and it has better pacing than most RPG series have. There were no filler parts, no require fetch quest and no non-related plot that you constantly have to do to progress and isn't handholding you alot. There are things that is happening and you have a duty to do these things. It never felt forced or a waste of time and the pacing kept it at well paste. It doesn't suffer alot of pacing issue as most RPG games. Another game that comes to mind is Chrono Trigger. Which I'm surprised isn't on the list.

When you mentioned Vesperia. That is actually my favorite game. I still want Namco to announce a port of Abyss.

No Grandia? I know it’s old but the whole plot is based around the spirit of adventure

2 games that coem to midn when it comes to Adventure are Grandia 1 and Rhapsody 2 Ballad of the little Princess. Grandia especially just had that sense of adventure at the start with Justin even reminding Feena what being an adventurer is all about again really. And Rhapsody 2 was just a really cute little game to pass the time where we follow Kururu who just wants to go on an adventure and find her prince. And then in some scenes it gets really sad all of a sudden and I keep wondering how these games can be so goofy and yet surprisingly deep all at the same time. I really enjoyed the Rhapsody games.

Hello from YsLink! Absolutely agree on Ys X and the sense of Adventure. Wish the ships were a bit faster from the start, but it's still a lot of fun.

I love how you make a somewhat boring TopX-List interesting by pouring your passion for the games into it. Thats why I stick to your videos even right now after 4 Years. Keep going, man, I love your stuff!

Star Ocean 2nd Story R might be my favorite game on the Switch. Some of it is nostalgia from playing the PS1 version but there's just something about it that has a massive amount of replay value for me. I think the gameplay loop for the SMT games is a bit more enthralling but Star Ocean is a bit more balanced with the story feeling like an epic adventure.

Currently playing through Skies of Arcadia on DC and having a blast 👍

Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Vesperia are two games in my top 5 of all time. There are a very few amount of games I 100% completed and these two along with FF10 are on that 100% list.

I'm gonna throw Alliance Alive in here too!
It's a great game, with the spirit of adventure strong at its core. Several people from different and disconnected lands, going on an epic quest to unearth ancient truths and reunite their fractured world. It's absolutely a gem, and I highly recommend it!

I still remember staying up way too late playing Skies of Arcadia on my Dreamcast back in the day. One of the few JRPG's I've started and actually finished.

Final Fantasy IX and Grandia also gave me this feeling of grand adventure. and Mass Effect 1 & Andromeda, just on a galactic level.

while Xenonlade Chronicles X is on a higher level, Chronicles 1's world was also just a joy to explore.

Sense of adventure, of going into fantasy lands of unknown is i think one of the reasons why i'm focused on jRPGs now as a gamer.

Excellent as usual. Just picked up a steam deck AND finished Rebirth (130 hours, wow)... am now ready for Visions of Mana, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Berseria, and Star Ocean SSR on the portables. Hype.(Finished DQ earlier this year on Switch... freaking, amazing.)
