My 10 Most Anticipated JRPGs of 2022

2022 is looking to be a great year of games by looking at what’s coming out and with one of those great JRPG releases coming out soon, it seems like a good time to talk about all of the JRPGs I’m most excited for this year! I still can't believe Trails from Zero comes out in the west officially this year. That is definitely my most anticipated JRPG. Thanks, Geofront! :)

oh yeah Trails from Zero is fantastic. Even though I have played it already i will still be purchasing it again to help the cause.

With the Nintendo Direct, I’m definitely adding Xenoblade 3 to the list! .hack, Trails to Zero, and The Cruel King are also high contenders.

i'll sink 150 hours+ into sophie 2 and then try to remind myself of my 431623723452763542 games backlog.
yeah i know i'll fail and get rune factory as well.
and several others.
curses! this genre is just crazy nowadays.
even if i play nothing but jrpgs (which is basically the case for me)
i'll never get to play all the ones i wanna play because there are just too many of them
what a time to be alive :D

I do plan on picking up every single game you just named! I just preordered the collectors edition of Atelier Sophie 2 from Nisamerica for the Switch.

Amazing list! There was a bunch of games on here I didn't realize were coming out and so soon actually. I feel like Switch is hands down JRPG heaven. Looking forward to grabbing some of these titles!

My most anticipated games are Rune Factory 5 and Atelier Sophie 2 since I love these franchises! But I'm also very excited about Crystar, .hack and Trails from Zero from what I've heard. Definitely gonna check out the reviews for Monark too once it's out.

There are so many great JRPGs this year. I can't wait.
I'm definitely planning to grab Pokemon Legends Arceus, Atelier Sophie 2, Rune Factory 5, Trails from Zero on release day. Dot hack, Triangle Strategy, and Digimon survive I'm also looking forward to, but I have to regulate it to later when I have time in this year's packed schedule.

I’m excited for Rune Factory 5 in March. Pre-ordered a physical copy at GameStop for my sister and currently waiting to pre-order a digital copy on the EShop for myself.

i've mostly been working on my backlog, but i know i plan on picking up Rune Factory 5 on release ( esp if it comes out on pc, or i might wait to see if the option will be there since 4 got released on pc ). i'm still waiting on cold steel, but i'm still deeply excited for more iterations on the game!

Definitely looking forward to Granblue Fantasy Relink, after it's initial showing back in 2017 i think it was? Gameplay already looked stellar ! Besides that, definitely Atelier Sophie 2, Monark and The Legend of Heroes Trails from Zero as well :)

Also your list was also very good, as always the diversity in games within the same genre is always appreciated !

The one that I’m most excited for is Pokémon Legends: Arceus as it seems that the game will go in an interesting new direction for the series that I think if they managed to pull of correctly could be really cool.
I’m also excited for Atelier Sophie 2 and Death End Re;Quest 2 on switch, but I still need to play the first games of both series (which I managed to get recently on the eshop with a discount :D) so I don’t think I’ll be playing these sequels for a while.
Triangle strategy also seems like it could be cool, so I may or may not end up buying it.

Another great year of JRPGs in 2022! So many great titles, but the one's I will be giving priority to are: Pokemon Arceus, Triangle Strategy, Trails from Zero, Digimon Survive, and Grandblue Fantasy Relink. I really hope the last 2 come out this year after several delays. I'm also looking forward to Advance Wars reboot, but I don't think I'll get around to it this year. Thanks for the great video as always!
