I absolutely agree with you. Chained Echoes is my game of the year too, it delivers a top notch experience in so many ways. The story, the lore, the characters, the gameplay, the soundtrack... It is hard to believe it was made by a single dev. I really hope it gets even more attention, for me it was an instant classic.

Honestly, chained echoes is quickly becoming one of my fave games ever (haven’t finished it yet)…. As someone who grew up on jrpgs, it’s awesome to see something so classic but with modern sensibilities, and fresh new takes old systems. Also diofield chronicles, I don’t think gets the recognition it deserves, so it’s nice to see it high on your list :)

Chained Echoes it's really top 1 jrpg of 2022 for me, what a masterpiece

I'd say Xenoblade 3 is my Jrpg of the year. It took the best parts of the previous games and made a super game! As for chained Echoes, I am currently playing it thanks to you! Its AMAZING! I hope more people check it out! Playing it is like injecting old school jrpg vibes into my body and I love it!

I'm glad to see DioField Chronicle get some recognition. The game got terrible reviews from mainstream reviewers but it's so good, the combat system is fantastic once you get the hang of it. And I like that the story went in a completely different direction than the usual JRPG, it subverted my expectations in a really good way.

I just recently heard about this chained echoes game and clicked this vid expecting to catch the name (that I forgot). By the time I hit top 3 I assumed the vid I saw over hyped it or you never played it, only to find it again on the number one spot. I just bought it, should be fun~

I'm down to give Diofield a chance. It being #3 on your list made me even more intrigued. I'm not the biggest Strategy game typa guy but you mentioning how the battles are quick piqued my interest.
