To have a quilt created for you by your mom is so very special.

Yesterday I managed to score a set of 4 panels of vintage pinch pleated woven fabric drapes at Goodwill. They are mostly oatmeal and light beige with a thin stripe of turquoise running through which matches my turquoise sofa and all for $20.00. Sometimes the stars align.

Based on this, I can tell I am going to like 2023 design! Cottage traditional, lamps, vintage, biophilia are all up my alley!

Love the vintage and cottage are coming back. The modern style that has been popular does not fit my 100 year old victorian farm house. Thanks for the links to the cordless lamps. One thing about an old house limited electric outlets and being able to have a lamp without an extention cord is the perfect solution for a few areas in my home.

As a quilter I always have plenty of quilts and quilted wall hangings in my house. Glad to hear they will be back in style.

I'm glad to see grey everything on the way out. Garrett - you're so right about lamps! They're so versatile and add so much to a space!

I a excited for the cottage aesthetic!!! I love older things and living in a slow way, I love copper and vintage textiles and antique pieces. So I am very excited to see these all making there come back!

I used standing lamps and table lamps on my patio. Have for decades. The light is so flattering and subtle when sitting around having drinks. Now, with smart plugs it's easier to turn them on and off!

I am accidentally right on trend for 2023 - I’ve always loved lamps and have them (vintage, modern, big and little) all around the house including kitchen and bathroom and almost never use an overhead light except to find stuff on the floor :D

I love all of these 2023 trends, especially vintage textiles and lamps. My mom was a professional quilter and quilting judge before she passed in 2018. She left us a treasure trove of 100+ exquisite quilts, which are now beautifully displayed in our homes (and shared with many).

Vintage textiles are my weakness. I collect and use tea towels, napkins, pillow cases, and quilts! Some from family, some from estate sales and thrift stores.

I appreciate that you always bring a touch of practicality in your decor comments and advice. IMHO, a home should work for and reflect the preferences of the owner, not the latest trends. Loved all the content of this video. Thank you. 👏🏻

So happy gray is on the way out!! Love more of the earth tones. It's more soothing for me. So glad I stuck to what I liked regardless of the few raised eyebrows.

Ive been hoping for years thats all the words and phrases on home decor GOES AWAY! And i think mixing in some vintage that maybe has some meaning to you is great. Its like an old photo that has good memories. Another great video and jacket!

I love lamp lighting! I’ve even got a little 6” brass pineapple lamp in my 1/2 bath with a little white silk shade. I even had a lighting store cut the cord down so I don’t have all the extra cord on the counter top. It’s lovely! I’ve always said, I’m a sucker for pretty lamps and pretty boxes! Garrett, you are such a joy to watch!

Lamps and plants! You are speaking my language! I’m so glad dining rooms are making a come back too. As I am getting older, having family and friends over is becoming even more important. Making those memories and treasuring them. Cooking for others and entertaining is my jam as well. Great video by the way! ❤ 15:45

I *love* framed vintage textiles! You can thrift them, too, like singular pillow shams or scarves, or cut up a blanket that's too busy for your bed, but a piece of it is great on your wall. The trend I'm so happy to see fading away is the all white & chrome kitchen! Why do people want to make food in a space that looks like autopsies are conducted there? Kitchens should be warm and inviting, IMO, a place where people can gather without feeling like they have to put on lab coats. I'm very excited to see some of the maximalism "must haves" becoming more popular; things like COLOR. Most humans can see 1 MILLION colors, yet we use white, black, gray, and brown in our homes. Snoozefest. There are restful colors that aren't neutrals and it's time for them to show up in our homes.
