Opening YouTube and seeing this first nearly took me out! My gf’s 14 year old bichon Texas passed away 2 days ago. We had developed a fierce bond throughout the 6 years I knew him. He was just THE best dog and we miss him so so so much but we’re trying to focus on the good times. I always loved when he got back from the groomers and he’d have little teddy bear ears that flopped as he walked 🥺. She won’t be able to watch this one just yet but i think I will. RIP Texas ❤️

My cousin had a lovely little Bichon named “Whitney.” Admittedly, most of us called her “Witless” due to her not being the brightest of canines… but she had a wonderful temperament!

Our Bichon is turning 18 next month. He never showed any sign of slowing down until he did his cruciate ligament 3 ish of years ago (while leaping inside from the garden I might add) and even after then. In the last year he's gotten a bit slower, a bit lumpier.. but he's still going strong :) Amazing little dude.

Sweet puffball! We named ours Arlo, after Arlo Guthrie. He lived to the ripe old age of 19 before crossing the Rainbow Bridge. The snuggliest pupper ever!

These are the best dogs ever.
I had a bichon named Bubbles that lived to almost be 14 years old. She was an incredible dog and I loved her so much.

I miss my Bichon so much. Everything you said about them is correct. At least that’s how wonderful my Bichon was. She passed at 16 years old. My best friend who I can’t wait to see when I get to heaven.

My bichon Hercules passed in September. He was the best boy for 16 years! And I agree, he literally didn't look "rough" or old until he last week of life where he got extremely sick out of nowhere and the vet said he most likely had a brain tumor. I'm super thankful that he never had a very prolonged sickness. We shared the same birthday and i got him when I was 9. This year will be my first birthday without him since then. It was nice to see a bichon here 🥲

Did I just send this video to my friend who owns a Bichon, hoping they’ll do this cut on her one day?
Yes. Yes I did.

This just popped to my recommendations and I watched it in tears. My best friend, my little Bichon passed away a few months ago at 14 years old. I've never met a better dog. She adored me and my mom and was by our side every minute of the day. Never made a huge deal about herself. She was happy just being with us. I've never really had friends, but that dog was always ready go out on an adventure with me or just listened when I needed someone and I actually felt that she understood. She was very smart, loved people, was never sick, loved to be petted, but didn't like to be held and I also groomed her for her whole life, she didn't like it, but was compliant. I will never forget the unconditional love she gave us and we gave to her. I feel like she took a part of me with her when she left and I will always miss her ❤

I'll never forget the oversized Bichon Frise I met during my grooming training. His name was Elliot and was, I kid you not, at least 25 lbs. We used to joke that he'd been struck by lightening and that was where his size originated. But, as you described, a very sweet, compliant dog. His owner was a staunch supporter of Canada's Liberal party, and her previous Bichon had been named Pierre. No idea if she ever acquired a Trudeau to finish the name.

I've had 2 Bichon's so far. The 1st one passed away at 14.5 years (he would have lived longer if it wasn't for the TALENTLESS veterinarian internist who prescribed the wrong medication that caused his death within 1 week of the wrong med. Bailey was the smartest, kindest, sweetest, funniest, most loyal and loving clown. The Bichon I have now is a rescue from very bad backyard breeders. Don't know her true age but guessing she is probably about 12 by now. I got her in 2021. She is a very anxious dog (probably because of what she had to endure from the previous crazy owners. She has come a long ways. She is the sweetest and loving dog and I hope she will be around for many more years.

My mom had a Bichon when I was growning named Holly. She died about 4 months before her 20th birthday. She was an extremely loyal and sweet dog. Even in her old age she never, ever showed signs of being grumpy or aggressive. She loved my mom so much and I miss her a lot. One day I'll definitely be getting a Bichon of my own

Our bichon Buddy lived 16 years & we still miss him every day. He was the sweetest clown and very vocal. My teenagers swore he could say “mom”… he was always trying to talk to us and join in. We have a shih-tzu and shih-poo now & we love them dearly but if I ever get another dog it will be a little male bichon. 💖
