Here's an even easier way :)
If you have any amiibo cards, invite a villager you DO want to your island. You'll need to craft an item for them each visit for a total of three days. Feel free to time travel if you want things to go faster, but it's only three days so I honestly don't mind. Once you've crafted and gifted the third item they've requested, you'll finally get the prompt to invite them to your island and HERE'S where the MAGIC happens! You then get to CHOOSE WHO YOU WANT TO MOVE! much easier than time traveling and hoping the right villager has that thought bubble. Hope this helps! ❤

Beware, sometimes, they trick you, by getting the bubble, but when you talk to them, they ask you if you like theater, or what thay should eat today

for people that dont understand: try to load up animal crossing, and run around to see if any of your villagers have thought bubbles! if it appears on the villager you dont want to kick out, "time travel" by going to settings, and going forwards 15 days in time. make sure it is not on a saturday, sunday, or holiday! also events such as bug-off. once you do see thought bubbles on other villagers, save it, go to settings, and set the time to 4:59 AM. repeat process until satisfied! :3

Something I do that works every time.
1. Talk to everyone except the one villager you need to leave
2. Skip 1 month and 1 day
3. Go find that loser and kick them out!

last year my sibling wanted Raymond and I had gotten Raymond on a mystery island and once they were ready for him to move in I spent 7 hours straight doing something similar to this to move him to their island 😭

Also, you could annoy your villagers like if you use a net and continuously hit them. They’ll start to get annoyed, thinking that you don’t want them on your island anymore.

Oh by the way if u dont wanna skip a lot of time, just dont talk to them if they have a thought bubble and its not someone u want. Then just forward next day instead of 15 more

you dont have to set your clock to 4:59 AM if its the villager you dont want. It works for me when theres a villager who i want to stay, and if they have a suspicious thought bubble over their head, ill just wack them once with my net. itll probably take time for the thought bubble to pass around to other villagers (the ones youve likely interacted with the least) but it works for me this way.
