Appreciate the demonstration with the Brake Light and explaining how it was turning on and off. It pretty much matched the same way my Brake Light was turning on/off. Added more fluid and took it for a drive and the Brake Light Warning was no longer turning on for me. Thank you!

When this issue started I checked the brake fluid and it seemed okay so I dismissed it. This light was driving me nuts so I kept doing research on what it could be. I came across your video and decided to check the brake fluid again. It was slightly above minimum so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to just top it off (except the cost of a full bottle for just a top off). I did it and BOOM light went away. Would not have revisited the brake fluid if it wasn’t for this video. I saw other videos talking about checking brake fluid but your video showed the problem, live, exactly as it happened to me…brake light on and off with traction control on.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for the illustrative video.
Peace!

the reason why the brake fluid is low is because the pads are worn down too low so the pistons are sticking out further to make the pads connect to the rotor forcing the car to think you are low on fluid; in reality adding fluid helps to lights go away but it doesn't solve the real issue. you need to replace the pads and just in case the rotors because it may have worn the pads down to bare metal and wearing the surface of the rotor unevenly. Causing the steering wheel to vibrate and or shale overtime as you engage the brakes from higher speeds.
I'm only stating this is because I had this issue for months until I made common since of things and replaced parts and no longer have the issue

Good video man! I have been seeing the foot brake light (red circle with exclamation mark) comes on every now and then and disappear. Lately along with that the "skid" icon comes and stays ON. I complained to the dealership when I took my car last November for maintenance but they had not sees the problem. Now I saw your video, I will check the brake fluid level and follow your instructions. Thanks for this valuable tip.

This video saved me! My car has had these lights on for a year now. Almost started replacing stuff until I watched this! Thank you!

Thank you sir! Thought it was a faulty sensor that was causing the e-brake and traction control light to randomly pop up on the dash but nope, it was indeed low brake fluid. Would have cost $65 just for the Nissan dealership to put it on a lift and inspect it.

Good stuff sir. My brake light has been coming on and was wondering what was going on. Going to get some fluid tomorrow. Appreciate it.

Thank you for your great video. After having my 2013 Altima for about two years with the brake light coming on and off I finally saw your video and checked my brake fluid. It was on the low marker, so I filled it and the light has gone off. I never thought to check it because the brakes felt fine. Funny thing the traction light went off as well. It was always on too. Again thank you!
