Been thinking about going back to the corporate world after being jobless for over a year. I had plans to consider jobs abroad but didn't pursue since my friend who was supposedly going with me overseas changed her plans and I didn't want to go alone because I was too scared I might lose all my savings and won't be able to find a job then end up coming back home.

Ever since I got jobless, all I ever wanted was spend hours watching videos on youtube until 4 am and never felt excited about waking up for a new day. We all go through dark times and feel alone on our battles and entering a new journey can be quite scary but as the saying goes, there's a light that glimmers at the end of the tunnel so yeah, I'm going back to the corporate world again because I need to survive but I won't stop discovering new things until I can finally tell myself I'll be fine even without a 9-5 job. I hope everyone in the same situation as mine can pusue their passion one day without worrying about how to make ends meet. 💪

I'm so glad I found your channel. I can so relate to your story. I'm mixed Japanese, and was also living in Tokyo and working corporate. Just like you, I'd spend my money on regular trips and luxury goods with my salary (just came here after watching your other video!). I felt burned out, with no motivation to work anymore. Like you I felt pressure from my family, society... It's hard, especially in Japan, where freelancing isn't common. But I knew changing company wouldn't fix it. Four years ago, I finally quit, without any backup plan to fall back on, zero income.
I exhausted my savings the first year, paying for rent (I chose to stay in central Tokyo), daily life and trying to grow a business. So I decided to start a part-time job. I worked at a fast-food chain, and then switched to a night-time delivery job so I could keep working on my business during the day. I did that for 3 years and it was very difficult, physically and mentally. But finally, my freelance business started making me enough money for me to quit my baito. I haven't "made it" yet, but I can see how my freelance business holds so much for the future!
Things take time, but it is oh so worth it. Consistency is key, so keep doing what you're doing, you have so much potential!

A new subscriber here 😊! For the sake of my well-being I am quitting a job with a”title” and move on to another (more relaxed) job. Almost the same payment minus the whole stress. I used to joke that I was doing triple work for single money and this is the price I had to pay for the “title”. Now I am a bit older and, hopefully, smarter…I prefer to do single work for single money 😂

Love your storytelling! i'm going to quit my 9-5 job next week and it's really anxious by just thinking of it. But your warm video and beautiful voice brings me courage thank you!

Another beautifully made video ✨️ struggling to find your identity outside of work is so real for many. I think that a lot of people forget that they should have a life and hobbies outside of work. I know it can be hard, it's like we live to work and not work to live.

I can't relate more about all of your sayings, as a Korean who quit my job 7 months ago. For the first three months I had huge amount of worries about my future, but as time goes by it just flew away. In these days I am wholly concentrating on my own game projects even though it makes zero money yet.

Wooww I am soo happy that I found your channel. I am in a corporate job right now. I quit my last job after working for one year thinking that maybe the job or the environment is the issue. After quitting I couldn't go on above 5 months being unemployed as my family kept asking me, nagging me when am I going to find my next job and in that pressure and anxiety I had to get another job (same field as the previous job) which is literally a few minutes away from my place and it's been 4 months I feel so bored and unmotivated to go to work. It made me realise that it's not the job but the fault is in me... I've chosen a field in which I'm not really interested and have still continued to walk down that path for money. Tbh I'm really confused and clueless in life right now.... my job doesn't align with what I really want to do. I'm currently 24 and it feels like time is running out for me to do anything new. Watching your videos feels like a warm hug, it makes me feel that I'm not the only one and that there is still hope and it's gonna be okay. Sending you love and blessings. Thank you so much 🌻

I never worked at a big company, but I know the struggle of wanting to break free from the rat race. I tried many failed businesses and now I am a freelancer video editor. And yes, it's hard not to feel the money anxiety when one month could look one way and the next totally different. Like you, I had a long period not working and just trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life ( moving to Japan is on the list) and I was so ashamed to tell people.
Anyway, I can't wait to see your channel grow :)
