I can't explain how great this channel is. We've been getting into gardening and ntm living in America is fucked rn.
Gonna need to learn how to be self-sufficient and growing ones own food is one of the ways to do that. It's perfect too cause we've always dreamed of living off the land in the woods somewhere.
Not to mention recycling food waste to make fertilizer. Saves money and the planet.
I wish more people wanted this life-style

Tip from a ranchhand who gardens for a hobby: plants thrive on dead bacteria so i used fish and bat manure, mixed it with a splash of hydrogen peroxide. Then added like 5 gallons of water to dilude it. Spread that on my farm and its been flourishing ever since. Idk if its connected but thats my go to every harvest.

Hey!! Can you make a video on how to plant a green plantain tree please?? Plantains are rich in a type of fiber that helps you feel fuller longer. With so many shortages at the groceries, plantains are an amazing way to sustain yourself through the day. Let's get ready to plant enough fruits, vegetables and roots to get to the point to be autosustainable. What can be better than having our own food growing in our own backyards.

Well... banana peels are known to be rich in several key nutrients that plants can benefit from, including potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, as well as smaller amounts of nitrogen. They also contain magnesium and sulfur, which are beneficial for plant health.

By boiling the banana peel, you are essentially creating a kind of "banana peel tea, " which can indeed be used as a homemade fertilizer. The process of boiling does not necessarily kill the nutrients, but instead, helps to break down the peel and release the nutrients into the water, making them more accessible to your plants. This can be a good method for using up your banana peels and providing your plants with some beneficial nutrients.

However, it's important to note that while banana peel tea can be a great supplement, it should not be used as a replacement for a balanced plant nutrition program. It provides some nutrients, but not all that a plant requires for optimal growth.

Also, make sure to let the liquid cool before using it. Warm or hot water could damage the roots of your plants.

One last tip is to consider composting your banana peels if you're not already doing so. Composting is another excellent way to reuse food scraps, including banana peels, and it provides a rich, balanced source of nutrients for your plants.

So yes, your banana peel tea can certainly be used as a kind of fertilizer for your plants. It's a great way to recycle and make good use of your kitchen scraps. However, it's important to remember that it's not a comprehensive solution, and your plants will still need other sources of nutrition as well.

I wonder what would happen if you combine all the special fertilizer concoctions and used it. Jack and the beanstalk?

What if you bake it for a couple hours on 250 until you dry them out or dehydrate the banana peel then grind it into a fine powder in your coffee grinder? Could you use it on your garden or as a tea and does it still have it nutritional value?
