The best video on directional derivative . But I cannot understand the direction of gradient is updard or inward ! Kindly upload a video on gradiend with its direction and the plain on which the gradient vector is . Thanks for such a video .

Before trying to understand gradient and directional derivative, it is nice to understand and visualize vector filed first. Because gradient of a function is a vector valued function.

1:53 as per logic, unit vector direction decided by the user right, my logic is if am planning to check the change in the height in a particular direction, so I can decide the direction of vector right? here i am placing the vector right for analyse the changes in a particular direction? please clear my logic
