Really captured the dread of the short story, which terrified me as a child. But it was a lot more effective when the creature was still in the shadows

Saw it today. It started off well and tailed off a bit. 6/10. Was alright

About the film rating, it’s an MA 15+ in Australia, usually that would indicate some pretty strong blood and gore. True that at 15, they can almost show anything apart from the very strongest gory moments.

The story was ok but what made the film memorable, is the genuine scares which are not just jump scares.

This is a solid 7 out of 10.

You need to chime on on the empty man and the dead center two recent titans of horror film

Apparently it's a PG-13 in the US, which tends to go 12 here but sometimes edges into 15 (M3GAN, The Batman and Fall being recent examples)

7/10 - I quite enjoyed it. Yeah, the story’s been told before but it was executed well, IMO!

Dashcam was an intense ride but not as good as Host. I'm intrigued to see The Booegyman.

I think it's always been boogeyman in UK but fungus the bogeyman played on the name as he always had bogeys coming out his nose, and so now that name is ingrained in our British minds.

Edit: I lived half in the US and the UK so not sure what is what anymore..interesting etymology though.

I honestly didnt know from the trailers if this was a remake of a previous Boogeyman film or not because there have been so many mid and low budget horror movies with this or a similar title that I honestly thought it could just be another horror film with [generic title]
