The Sixx Experiment. I have been on the carnivore diet for 135 days at this point. It has had a profound impact on my life, but with all my pain, depression, and weight is it really worth it at my age?

Congrats on the 135 days and thanks for sharing your Carnivore journey. I'm about the same age and have been at it for a similar amount of time. After a while I started eating extra salad (without lectins) every few days. "Carnivore with interval keto"🙂 I feel better with it, even if it is cheating. I also eat nuts and berries.
Greetings from Germany.

135 days and look how much your health has improved. Wow. And the best part is, if you stick with it it just keeps getting better. ❤🥩

Congrats! We must have started at roughly the same time, I am 4 months+ into carnivore at the moment (and will be 60 in December). Feeling great, shopping is easy (and cheaper; UK), I do run away from veggies and fruits as if they will jump and try to kill me lol. Thinking of starting a keto business.

Diet may eventually help with anything you still have. Sometimes it takes longer. I had back pain and it took about 10 months to get complete relief. I’ve heard others say the same thing about their back pain.

Hello from Canada. I’m 7 weeks into the carnivore diet. I’ve lost inches but I don’t weigh myself because weight could be muscle or water retention. I’m hoping to heal my low thyroid and hypoglycemia from excessive dieting. I really did a number on my metabolism Back in the 70s anorexia was in for women and what I did to myself to be underweight! Now at 61 I’m finally healing my body. It will take some time to heal the damage but I am enjoying the carnivore community. Awesome people supporting good health Thanks for your video!

Congratulations on your 135 days Sixx I’m so happy for you. I’m 59 as well will be 60 April 9th I hope to feel like you do by then because I eat the S.A.D diet I feel horrible my husband and I just got back from Disneyland I had to rent a mobility scooter he has spinal stenosis and spondylitis I was diagnosed with a blood clot 2 years ago so my leg swells up pretty bad. We had fun but now we’re back home and I’m in so much pain and my anxiety and depression and anger are through the roof 😏. I miss my son so so much that everything makes me angry. We do have 2 other sons and my daughter and 6 grandchildren I should be happy but I’m sad 😞

I’ve had all the same improvements I occasionally experiment off diet and the regret is always just a little bit higher than the reward so I expect I’ll quit experimenting eventually;especially as the desire to go off piste is fading slowly too.

I don't understand the question. You're saying you've lost 90lbs and your pain is going away, so why are you asking the question is it worth it.

Thanks for your personal story. Mine was more convoluted-but results are similar.

Your chick "Scramble" was a nice touch!

61 and in my first month of Carnivore. As a single guy, I never had the motivation to just cook for myself but doing this now I do.
I only eat once a day very large, 5-7 eggs, bacon, and 1 lb of meat or more. I look at the plate and think "I can't eat all that",
yet I can and do. Dropped 10 lbs right away and plan to have my 6-pack abs back in a few months.

It is amazing what not eating crap can do! Im 55 and will stay on this forever. Not just due to the arthritis going away, or the crippling anxiety. Digestive issues left and more. Im not perfect, but I also don't want Alzheimer's to kick in from eating too many carbs and sugar Im a lifetime carnivore.

I had lower back pain for months. When I switched to carnivore (with a bit of fruits), the pain was reduced by like 50% in few days. After 5 months the pain is at 30%. I am still tweaking the way I eat, but ground beef is my every day staple.
