Hats off to the lady for trying to do it herself. My kids mother messed up so many projects at the house, but always respected the hel out of her for trying. She is right, she tightens them screws up and it would work just fine, looks like it’s to a closet anyway.
You tell she did great then fix it when she’s not around.

Because the door opens one way it is not a horrendous error at all. It will grab pockets and clothing as you walk by it, but honestly, I applaud her for doing something on her own. Most likely she would have caught the mistake after the handle was installed and honestly, it is one set screw to loosen swap the handle position and retighten the screw.

I gotta give it up to her for taking the initiative to try it and do it her self even knowing it's wrong. I like that, the mistakes its part of the progress. Good job girl !

as a retired handyman, you MUST make mistakes to learn.
I give her high marks for motivation and for thinking and for not being lazy and for making a very simple understandable mistake but he is getting involved with how wrong it is BEFORE she says she is through with the job.
I can not give her any bad grades AT THIS POINT in the game.

She wanted it done on her timeline and since he was taking to long to get to it instead of nagging and whining about it she had a go at it herself. She's a keeper.
That being said I doubt there are any guys that can honestly say that they've never accidentally gotten half way through something before realizing they had it backwards.
