Random but if anyone wants to know what kooleen's baby girl brush is called, you say "フラット" as furatto, and i think when you say it you get the idea of what the meaning could be, the meaning is "flat" therefore it's just a flat brush lol (ok so right after i posted this comment kooleen said "idk the name, its in japanese", well you're welcome)

The second tip about the “don’t do line art” is actually really helpful, I had a sketch and I was going to do my line art but then every time I did it, it looked sloppy, I used different brushes, never came out the way I wanted. So fed up I just made another lay and just colored in my sketch, and my shading (my favorite drawing ever)

Honestly, your tutorials are the only helpful ones I've encountered. I'm a full time med student, art is my hobby, and oftentimes I just don't have the energy or time to learn all the tedious processes that professional artists suggest.
I'm pretty good at traditional art so switching over to digital has been really hard because of all those things. Quick tips and tricks like these are exactly what I need. Thank you.

Another way to create depth is to make the farther colors closer to a motif color, I typically go with a dark purple

I do line art bc coloring is already lowkey hard for me so the scribbles and the line make it too much for me even when I clean it up it just kinda overwhelms me and part of it is bc I’m kind of a perfectionist 💔

Line art is easy and one of my favorite parts of drawing. It’s not hard. You sketch it and make some lines thicker than the others to give dimension.
