This wasn’t even a debate. The apologist literally brought nothing to the table and never once actually addressed the agreed upon topic of the debate.

This is part of that whole stupid position around a "necessary being" and "cause" and "beginning/end " that frustrates me when Matt debates these people. Even if there was proof of a "necessary" being, or a "reason" behind the rain (from a different debate), that doesn't mean we can take the enormously HUGE leap to "OK, it MUST mean that your religion is correct!". I just wish Matt would say: "OK, what if there was a necessary being? Does that mean I should subscribe to your religion, or should I go full-on Hellenistic and start believing in Zeus, or Mohammed?"

The thing is, Yahweh in the present, is a defined character between the book about him and claims in the present.
Not a mysterious entity like some arguments seem to suggest.
Not once has Yahweh or any god been demonstrated to exist in reality in real-time as a sentient being matching the believed character.
