I love the implications of Matt's remark. He has mountains of evidence that Jadlow is an idiot. Definitely not a blind faith assertion.

"you are kind of a hothead."

This is to distract from the fact that he interrupted, which was matt pointed out.

He mentions blind faith, and doesn't get the irony in that.

The whole debate was a lesson. You can guess who was the teacher here.

We live in times where angry, frustrated, impatient and rude Evangelical Christians and Sunni Muslims are becoming more and more like each other. And neither group has the slightest interest in developing ethical reasoning. After 5 minutes with them, it's basically, "We need God to be good!" ... ah ... sigh ...

Dude say he's a hothead like it'll make all his arguments invalid or something

I don't know how Matt can deal with these morons on a daily basis but I'm glad he's doing it.

Talks over the top of you then immediately switched to ad hominem attacks.

_"Blind faith is not a debate"_ -- Spoken like a true theist.

Disagreement is disagreement, but it is breathtakingly astounding just how common it is for theists to have no idea who has the burden of proof when a party makes a positive claim. The concept couldn't be simpler.

It all comes down to *believers wanting to validate their belief in a 'heaven' or afterlife.*
I think that's what *gives their life meaning.*
And anything that *threatens that comforting belief* of being able to live forever and see dead relatives is *terrifying* for them.

Matt going full Matt on another hapless human who knew not to wander into Matts gaze.

Well. Who created god ? They cannot answer that. They pnly say god doesn't need a creator. Then creation doesn't need a creator as well. End of debate.

A superstitious mind is one-dimensional by default.

He was hardly a hothead…he spoke in a normal tone. The question was fair.

I understand the sense of discomfort that comes with the notion of infinite regress.
When I was a fundie, I felt a need to argue it away.
I'd say "there can't be an infinite regress". But I was assuming linear time, and I was ignoring how any sentient being (even a "God") having thoughts is a being experiencing linear events. So if a "God" always existed, then its own experience of thinking would be an example of infinite regress. So I wasn't really solving the problem. I was just moving it back.

If someone wrongfully accuses you of stealing it is not up to you to proove you didn't. It is up to them to proove you did. Same goes with Gods existance.

"Do you think infinite regress is a good argument?"

No.
