Why Is Minecraft Bedrock So Hated?

Today I wanted to take a deep dive into Minecraft Bedrock edition and try to figure out why exactly the wider Minecraft community doesn't like it very much.

Minecraft Bedrock is my favourite version of Minecraft. Something that has always interested me though is a Java player's take on Minecraft Bedrock Edition and why they always think Minecraft Bedrock Sucks. I've seen a lot of videos going over the goods and bads of Minecraft Bedrock from a Java player's perspective, but I wanted to give my take as someone who plays both versions regularly as I think that would be much more fair

I don't own a PC, so I've only experienced Bedrock Edition. I get sad when friends invite me to realms but I don't use Java.

before bedrock, the phone and consoles were their own "editions" like pocket edition and xbox 360 edition, they werent up to date as java so they werent compared with each other.

bedrock is my personal preference, the pvp and movement is way better in my opinion, but people on java hate it because its different and they are bad with it. the only reason vanilla survival is not better is because of mobile, if microsoft actually cared about the bedrock community then it would try to find ways to improve the overall feel of mobile minecraft.

final someone who gets it. ive never played java and untill i was about 10 i didn't have a reason to but people started saying that my version of the game was "just worse" and that java as better. i just want to play the game on whatever device i have avaliable.

As someone who has played bedrock my entire life and just recently switched to Java, I personally prefer Java mostly for the small things. I like it more because I looks much smoother and I like that there are much more features on Java too. I might be a bit more biased than most because I played bedrock in the PlayStation 4 and it just crashed way too much, Java crashed much less and I do like the red stone more on Java. So overall I do like Java more but I still love bedrock because of nostalgia and a lot of things I used to on bedrock.
