1. Deep Focus practice 1-4 hr/day
2. Break the skill down super small and slow
3. Keep going and keep being motivated and passionate
- surround yourself with people who enjoy/are passionate about the skill
- put yourself in that environment/activity
4. Make deep practice a habit
- 3-5 times a week, ideally everyday
- remind yourself WHY you want this
5. Find a coach

I noticed that the more you learn things the more it gets easier to learn, it is like practicing learning as if it was a skill it self!

I learned from my studies at a top university AND from our recent visit to BCG: To be successful you must get really good in one area and leverage those pain points to use in others—this is useful for EVERYTHING. That’s why people who do more things and actually explore them deeply are very good learners and are usually geniuses. And also why genus’s are usually great in other areas as well.

Edit: my mom indeed passed when I was 3 and I definitely worked my ass off to get into school.

I’ve been through this experience. I was in my taekwondo class, it was the end of the session, and my body was already tired. Every punch and kick I threw was relaxed, lacking energy. Then I noticed a boy in front of me executing every punch and kick with such strength and determination. That moment made me feel both embarrassed and inspired, pushing me to perform properly and with resolve until the very end. I’ll never forget that boy and how he made me feel.

You don't lack resource but your resourcefullness. You can learn anything. The barrier of entry for anything is pretty low. Good job Tina.

I realized I learn stuff a lot faster when I flood what I want to get skillful at with appreciation. Because of this, my focus increases, so I make less mistakes and I end up absorbing a lot more of the material.

I guessed B... Because it has to be long enough to get into it but not too long to overexert and get tired. When practicing sports and music...1 hour is not enough. Once you get in a groove you need to continue that state of momentum. It will get better and you start to see, hear and feel it change. Awesome!!!

As a data analyst, it feels like a friend who gives feedback with my work, code, preparations and learning, even a schedule. That’s how good it is!!!!

You've gotten better at explaining visually since the last I watched, which was about 6 months ago. You should keep doing this whenever you can.

I'd like to develop creative writing, so I try to spend half an hour every day with free writing. You made this process clearer for me and also opened my mind to a whole new perspective on habits formation. Thank you for that! P.S. By the way, socializing can be a real struggle sometimes. I feel you.

Tina Thank You. I will do this. Praying it works for me. My parents were both University scholars, and so were my siblings. I was their special son, you know, the exception in the family.

I want to be a genius artist and storyteller (writer). I decided to become a graphic novelist recently, but I'm worried about whether I'm good enough😅 I'm excited to see how this advice helps, thank you😊

I feel that in discussions around kids being fast learners unlike adults, almost everyone tends to forget that kids have no other job except learning. They don’t have to give brain power and emotional energy to taxes, personal finances, legal problems, repetitive tasks at work, etc. They don’t have to cope with anxiety of thinking what they are going to eat tomorrow and where they are going to live next month. Of course it’s harder for adults to be as good learners as kids are. I think it’s proven by the fact that in poor neighbourhoods kids who have to adult to early often lag behind at school
